Oneok Inc. is one of the nation’s leading energy infrastructure firms and has about 60,000 miles of pipelines under its control. The company collects, processes, holds, and distributes liquid natural gas, petroleum, other refined products, and crude oil. Oneok’s headquarters is located on West 5th Street in downtown Tulsa, and here are some neighborhoods to consider for Tulsa apartments near Oneok.

Central Park is Close to the Heart of Tulsa

Tulsa’s Central Park is a relatively affordable neighborhood that is situated about a mile east of downtown Tulsa and just a short drive from the Oneok headquarters on 5th Street. The Central Park neighborhood mostly is comprised of small and affordable homes and quality apartment complexes that make it an ideal location for Oneok workers. The community is located near the U.S. 75 and historic Route 66 interchange and has an excellent park system, local shopping, restaurants, and nightlife to support its residents.

West Tulsa is Close to the Arkansas River

If you like river views, West Tulsa is a wonderful option to call home. It is situated along the southern bank of the Arkansas River and includes the River West Festival Park within its boundaries. An excellent natural port makes it easy to launch small vessels on the river for fishing and boating fun, and the trip to Oneok headquarters is fast when traveling north via Route 66 and the I-244 interstate, both of which are situated along the neighborhood’s western boundary. The West Tulsa neighborhood has excellent parks and recreation, plus a family medical care center, excellent schools, and low crime rates.

Kendall-Whittier is Minutes from Downtown

Tulsa’s Kendall-Whittier neighborhood is about 5 miles east of downtown and the Oneok headquarters, which are easy to access. The I-244 interstate runs along the neighborhood's northern section, while Route 66 is situated along its southern boundary. Both make it very easy to drive the short distance to downtown Tulsa for work and weekend fun. The Kendall-Whittier community has a good, dedicated school system, lots of shopping and dining options, and excellent parks and recreation facilities. Local police, medical care, and firefighting services help make it a relatively safe community, and Kendall-Whittier offers great Tulsa apartments near Oneok.

American Airlines Has Many Local Operations

American Airlines operates a wheel and brakes center in Tulsa and has several operations at the nearby Tulsa International Airport. Between its wheel and brake operations and commercial flight operations at the airport, the airline is one of the largest employers in Tulsa. American Airlines’ operations are mostly centralized in and near the airport, and there are many quality neighborhoods offering excellent rental opportunities to consider.

Maplewood is Very Affordable for Renters

Maplewood is a very affordable neighborhood that provides many excellent Tulsa apartments near American Airlines operations at the airport and nearby. The neighborhood has a good mix of single-family homes and apartments that are in good shape and just a short drive to work American Airlines’ work locations. The Maplewood community is located directly north of I-244, which makes it fast and easy to get to work and drive around the greater Tulsa area.

Dawson Makes the Work Drive Simple and Short

Tulsa’s Dawson neighborhood is along the southwestern part of the Tulsa International Airport and the American Airlines operations that it contains. Highway 11 cuts across the neighborhood’s northeastern section and makes the commute to work an about 10-minute task. The Dawson area of Tulsa has a very good mix of parks, residential, and commercial areas, and Coal Creek offers fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and floating along its length while surrounded by local parks.

Mingo Valley Supports Outdoor Recreation

The Mingo Valley neighborhood is situated south of the Tulsa International Airport and close to American Airlines’ wheels and brakes operation. Mingo Creek and an expansive park system are situated along the eastern boundary of Mingo Valley, and the neighborhood has ample shopping and dining options for locals. The park and Mingo Creek make it very easy to enjoy time on the water or relaxing near it, and local biking and hiking trails make it an ideal location in which to spend time outside. Route 66 traverses the neighborhood’s northern boundary, and Mingo Valley is very close to I-44 and U.S. 169, which makes it an about 10-minute drive to American Airlines and the airport.

The Nordam Group is the Largest Private Aerospace Firm

The Nordam Group is one of the world’s largest privately owned aerospace firms and is headquartered in northeastern Tulsa. The company produces aircraft structures, engine nacelles, windows, cabins, thrust reversers, and other equipment for civilian and military aircraft. It also maintains and repairs such aircraft and is located near the Tulsa International Airport in the northeastern part of the city. The company pays very well, and here are a few neighborhoods to consider when looking for Tulsa apartments near The Nordam Group.

Longview Lake Supports Recreation and Short Commutes

Tulsa’s Longview Lake community is very strategically located near The Nordam Group’s operations in Tulsa. The neighborhood is more upscale than many others in the Tulsa area, but Longview Lake apartments near The Nordam Group are well within the affordability range for most of those employed by the aerospace company. Route 169 runs along the Longview Lake neighborhood’s eastern boundary, and I-44 is close to its northwestern corner, so commutes to work are short. As the neighborhood’s name implies, there is a long lake that is situated within its northwestern boundary, which provides ample fishing and aquatic recreational activities.

Tower Heights Offers Convenience and Living Space

The Tower Heights neighborhood is situated about 5 miles southeast of The Nordam Group’s location in Tulsa and has ample open spaces and local small lakes and ponds. The neighborhood contains many fine Tulsa apartments near The Nordam Group, and the I-44 freeway runs along its northern boundary. Easy access to the freeway system ensures the drive to and from The Nordam Group workplaces is fast and simple from Tower Heights, which is an ideal community in which to live and raise a family. It is relatively quiet, safe, and supported by quality local schools.

Cooper is Quiet and Comfortable

Tulsa’s Cooper neighborhood is very close to The Nordam Group’s facilities, which is a quick drive north on U.S. 169. The commute takes no more than 10 minutes on most days, and the I-44 freeway and historic Route 66 are accessible immediately to the north and northwest of the Cooper neighborhood. It’s a more upscale community than many others in Tulsa, and it offers great apartment rentals, two manmade lakes, and several local parks for recreation. Cooper also is a reasonably quiet and safe neighborhood with low rates of crime.

The Williams Companies is Headquartered in Downtown Tulsa

The Williams Companies is another group of energy firms that is headquartered in Tulsa. The conglomerate has more than 33,000 miles of pipelines that deliver about a third of the natural gas used to produce electricity and for heating homes and cooking meals in the United States. It is headquartered at One Williams Center in downtown Tulsa, and there are several high-quality neighborhoods close by that many of its employees enjoy calling home. Here’s a short sampling of those communities.

East Village is in the Heart of Tulsa

The Williams Companies occupies an entire block in downtown Tulsa, and there is no community located closer to it than East Village. The East Village neighborhood is situated along the eastern boundary of the downtown district, with U.S. 75 running along its entire eastern border. East Village apartments near the Williams Companies location are within biking distance of downtown, and public transportation negates the need for driving and paying for parking when going to work or other locations in downtown Tulsa.

University Park Offers a More Collegiate Living Experience

A bit further north of the One Williams Center is University Park, which is situated north of downtown and Interstate 244. As the University Park neighborhood’s name implies, it is close to the Oklahoma State University-Tulsa campus. The neighborhood is densely populated and contains many excellent apartments that are about a 15-minute drive to One Williams Center.

Cheyenne Park Combines Location and Convenience

Cheyenne Park apartments near the Williams Companies are plentiful and strategically located along the L.L. Tisdale Parkway, which makes it very easy to drive to downtown Tulsa and One Williams Center. The Cheyenne Park neighborhood is directly north of University Park and has excellent schools, shopping, and emergency services that support the local community. The neighborhood is close to many wonderful fishing spots on the Arkansas River and local lakes and ponds.
