In its early history, Cedar Hill was part of the Chisholm Trail, where Texas Ranchers herded their cattle along this stretch of road to the Kansas railway system, where they were shipped and sold. Later on, several groups of settlers coming in from Kentucky, Alabama and areas in the proximity settled the land and it was established in 1846.

" Subtropical conditions are synonymous with this part of Texas, which result in the temperatures of spring and summer ranging from warm to soaring into the 90s. In the fall and wintertime, you can expect the climate to be mildly cool, with temperatures dipping into the lower 40s and high 30s."

" If you are planning to travel to the downtown area, you need transportation and after you have arrived, you will find it is extremely walkable. Cedar Hill is only 16 miles from Dallas, so Amtrak, as well as Greyhound, is accessible for longer trips. With Lovefield and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport within 30 miles, you can easily take international and domestic flights."

This includes going to Cedar Hill State Park, where you can camp out, hike, fish, bike or go boating, discovering all the beauties the park has to offer. Go-cart racing, laser tag, paintball, miniature golf, as well as party facilities are available for all ages. "
