Fremont is known for its vibrant art scene. The Olive Hyde Art, located next to the mission, features many Bay area artists. Residents also enjoy visiting the many beautiful parks in Fremont, most notably Central Park, right in the heart of Fremont.

Fremont Festival of the Arts is Fremont’s celebration of art, wine, and music. Fremont Street Eats runs every Friday from October through May and features food from local food trucks. Enjoy the sounds of summer with free concerts at the Fremont Summer Concert series that runs from July to August.

San Francisco is only an hour away with its many restaurants, historic landmarks, and cable car rides. Visit the boardwalk and “Mystery Spot” in Santa Cruz. Snorkeling and scuba diving adventures await you in nearby San Carlos. Go whitewater rafting on the American River.

Mission district: Nestled close to the hills, the Mission San Jose district has some of the most charming views. It also has one of the best school districts, which makes it a very desirable neighborhood for families with young children. Ardenwood district: A great place for commuters who live in Fremont apartments, with easy, nearby access to highways. Niles district: Think beautiful Victorian homes, walkable neighborhood, and many great antique shops and flea markets. Add in an old-fashioned train ride, and you have a very charming neighborhood. South Fremont district: One of the best places for finding apartments in Fremont. Many apartments are currently being built in the area. Also, it shares one BART station with Warm Springs and currently another BART station is being planned.
