Springfield Overview
Springfield is the third largest city in Missouri. It is a commercial center and acts as the gateway to the Ozark Mountains. In 1821 Missouri became a state. In February 1830, two brothers from Tennessee took up to 160 acres of land and one of them built a cabin that would later be Springfield.
