Paper-Thin Walls and Big Regrets – Avoid If You Value Peace and Quiet
February 26, 2026I honestly wish I could give zero stars, but I’m giving one star purely because the staff are polite and seem to mean well. The walls feel like they’re made of paper — maybe even thinner. You don’t just hear your neighbors, you experience their entire daily routine. Every step, every movement, all day long. If you happen to end up with active neighbors like I did, it’s almost impossible to relax. And if your upstairs neighbor has kids or a dog on top of that… you’ll hear absolutely everything. ...Peace and quiet simply don’t exist here. I’ve gotten used to leaving my own apartment just to have some silence. The appliances are just as disappointing. The dryer barely dries clothes, and the refrigerator doesn’t close properly unless you double-check it every time. The unit feels outdated, and the materials throughout the apartment are cheap and poorly maintained. Honestly, do not move here. In my experience, this is one of the worst places to live in Columbus. The only reason this isn’t a zero-star review is because of the kindness of the staff.Property Manager Responded

Although it is not uncommon in apartment living to hear your neighbors from time to time due to multiple shared walls, we do have established quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM daily to help keep disturbances to a minimum. That said, we do what we can to help with any concerns brought to our attention, especially if they violate our community guidelines. We would love the chance to address your concerns in more detail and see what we can do to improve your experience. 5-Star Experience at "Lake club at Polaris"!
November 24, 2025I have moved here recently, and I am thrilled with my decision. I love where the apartment is located, it's close to office,shopping center, costco, walmart, movie theater, coffee shop, and others. Everything about the process has been seamless, from my first tour to move-in and beyond. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know! This was a perfect fit. The apartments are relatively new and well maintained. The place is quiet and such a breath of fresh air. There are nice amenities When I ...initially toured Lake club, I was warmly greeted by Erin. She was completely prepared for the tour and gave a thorough overview of the community. Her professionalism and welcoming demeanor immediately stood out! Excellent Admin and maintenance staff here. Seriously, and speaking only from my experience, the leasing office stuff are efficient and effective. Treated me well, with kindness and a no fuss professionalism. They are incredibly informative, friendly, and clearly passionate about their work. The entire team as a whole genuinely seems to care about the residents and families living here. I’ve had 2 maintenance request since being here, and it was serviced and completed same day or next day! Great job maintenance team! Amazing place to live! I took over a lease, so I had a lot of questions, and needed a few things, like touch up paint, etc. I worked with Brittany R. and she was outstanding. !She always found time to respond to my emails right away, and take the time to walk me through things until I understood. August 14, 2025My experience getting into an apartment at Lake Club has been amazing! I am here from out of state working and was referred to this property and I am glad that I was! The management staff here has been very friendly and helpful! I have mainly been working with Brittany who has been so wonderful and attentive to all details, making sure that everything was taken care of and ready upon my arrival. She has definitely made this experience feel more personal and friendly rather than just business and ...tenant! I have felt at ease, welcome, and comfortable through this whole experience! Great location
July 23, 2025Beautiful place to live overall - Meredith and the other staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The property is wonderful and very well maintained. The only issue for me is I don't understand the use of Pioneer Energy Managment for the electric and water bill as there seems to be numerous additional charges ($40 or more monthly) attached to my bill which over a year will definitely add up.Property Manager Responded

May 31, 2025I lived at this apartment complex for 3 years , and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The property itself is lovely and well-maintained, with nice accommodations that made daily living comfortable. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, and the neighbors were also courteous for the most part—creating a positive community vibe. However, my main (and really only) complaint is the lack of sound insulation. and rent raising every year that I live there with the lack of sound insulation I ...don't think that these apartments are worth what they are chargingThe walls are very thin—no exaggeration. I could hear my neighbors cough, open and close their doors, and carry on normal conversations as if they were in my own apartment. If you’re someone who’s sensitive to noise, be mindful of this when choosing a unit. Additionally, if your apartment faces the street, you’ll hear every honk, engine rev, and general street noise—especially at night. If you’re a light sleeper, I highly recommend requesting a unit toward the back of the complex where it’s quieter. Overall, it’s a great place to live if you’re not too sensitive to sound, with a lot of positives that make it worth considering.
