We were fortunate to live for several months in Sorrento while searching for a new home. First, the apartments are spacious and extremely high quality. The floor plans all have an open concept for the living areas- kitchen, dining, and living rooms. All offer plenty of sunlight, and a wonderful outdoor space -either a relatively large balcony or patio. The kitchen and laundry appliances are all fairly new, and energy efficient. Shared walls are MINIMAL, and we Never heard any of our neighbors.
... We always looked forward to the end of the day and coming 'home' to our relaxing and quiet oasis. As far as the amenities, they are fabulous and include a great workout center (it even has a massage chair, and a personal trainer!!), spa services, pool and clubhouse. They are extremely pet friendly at Sorrento, and have a groomer and wash station on site. There is a walking trail that goes around the complex, and is connected to the Overland Park trail system. If you enjoy running or walking then this is truly a plus! I can't end without saying what a fantastic management staff they have at Sorrento. Amanda, and all of her staff are extremely helpful, and create a friendly and warm atmosphere. There is a true sense of community, and the clubhouse was always filled with fun and activity from organized games to wine tasting to pancake breakfasts, and I could go on. We are happy to now be in our new home, but we loved living at Sorrento, and I have no doubt that anyone who makes Sorrento their 'home' will enjoy it as much as we did.
