April 7, 2024When I first came to tour Sorrento I was pleasantly surprised by a warm greeting at the front office by your impressive Concierge, Reyna. She immediately took it upon herself to ensure I felt taken care of, she even offered me a refreshment while we discussed my upcoming move and got me excited about some of the events they have going on there. It's clear to me that their residents enjoy how she brings the community together. Without even seeing an apartment, I knew already that I wanted to live ...in a place that allows me to enjoy spending time with others around my age group. We consider ourselves so lucky
October 6, 2019We found this complex while downsizing over three years ago and love living here. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained and the apartments comfortable, roomy, quite and furnished with new appliances. The large club house has a well equipped gym available 24 hours, 7 days a week. The location is ideal with a multitude of shops, restaurants, and theaters within a two mile radius. As a bonus the city police department and St. Luke's hospital are only a block away. The staff knows the ...residents by name and always has time to listen or just chat. They plan monthly activities such as breakfasts and holiday parties and Christmas/Thanksgiving meals. The maintenance crew has always responded quickly to the few problems or requests we have reported. In the winter months we have found they have been working during the night and early morning hours to clear our walks and streets. My hat is off to them working in the worse conditions to keep us safe.Property Manager Responded

Not just an apartment- a home and a community!
July 30, 2018We were fortunate to live for several months in Sorrento while searching for a new home. First, the apartments are spacious and extremely high quality. The floor plans all have an open concept for the living areas- kitchen, dining, and living rooms. All offer plenty of sunlight, and a wonderful outdoor space -either a relatively large balcony or patio. The kitchen and laundry appliances are all fairly new, and energy efficient. Shared walls are MINIMAL, and we Never heard any of our neighbors. ...We always looked forward to the end of the day and coming 'home' to our relaxing and quiet oasis. As far as the amenities, they are fabulous and include a great workout center (it even has a massage chair, and a personal trainer!!), spa services, pool and clubhouse. They are extremely pet friendly at Sorrento, and have a groomer and wash station on site. There is a walking trail that goes around the complex, and is connected to the Overland Park trail system. If you enjoy running or walking then this is truly a plus! I can't end without saying what a fantastic management staff they have at Sorrento. Amanda, and all of her staff are extremely helpful, and create a friendly and warm atmosphere. There is a true sense of community, and the clubhouse was always filled with fun and activity from organized games to wine tasting to pancake breakfasts, and I could go on. We are happy to now be in our new home, but we loved living at Sorrento, and I have no doubt that anyone who makes Sorrento their 'home' will enjoy it as much as we did.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
THE RIGHT PLACE FOR US
July 29, 2018Sorrento apartments are nicely finished, comfortable, conveniently located, and quiet. The facilities and landscaping are beautifully maintained. The property amenities are many. The fitness center, fitness coach, and camaraderie of residents encourage participation. Sorrento management is responsive and cooperative to resident concerns and needs. Maintenance responds promptly to requests. Many of Sorrento’s mature residents are retired and eagerly seek social interaction. July 27, 2018Love love love Sorrento! Have been here a little over 2 yrs and have no plans to leave. The staff is very professional and responsive if issues occur. Apartments are beautiful and comfortable. You can be as active as you choose to be in multiple activities...games, cards, pool parties, wine night, exercise, holiday parties, or just walking the area with your pet. Sorrento has community activities such as bingo, dominos, cards, and etc. So many amenities they provide are outdoor barbecue, indoor kitchen, ping pong, state of the art fitness center, great clubhouse for gatherings, and pool. October 2, 2017I have lived in my new HOME a little under 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here with no plans of leaving. Living here has been a delight as the maintenance staff, office staff and amenities are all fantastic. The apartments are spacious and extremely high quality. My layout is just perfect for me with plenty of sunlight and an amazing view of a perfectly landscaped courtyard from my spacious balcony. Yes the amenities are plentiful but the community atmosphere that is nurtured by ...management is beyond belief. What's it like to live at Sorrento?
September 29, 2017If you like to meet and visit with people, you will enjoy each day at Sorrento. Impossible to cocoon yourself in a corner? You bet!! We consider ourselves more introverted than extroverted, yet don't find it difficult to openly share ideas and thoughts with other residents. This social scene is evident each day- without trying. Just scanning the monthly newsletter management provides attests to that. Between 25 to 30 opportunities for contact with other residents are available monthly. Yet time ...alone is readily available if one wishes. Other positives are: Proximity to St. Lukes South Hospital and Clinics, Service Personnel availability to serve residents with large and small repairs and maintenance, Clubhouse facilities available for functions, pool facilities during the Summer and weight room equipment available year round. Sorrento is the resort life-style we always dreamed of and now are living. What a luxury!
May 13, 2016Floor plans are phenomenal with plenty of storage space for all your needs. It is so quiet and relaxing here. Shared walls but there is no noise from neighbors. A combination of tile, carpet, and hardwood flooring really adds to the beauty. Kitchen and laundry appliances are top notch and energy efficient.
