My one bedroom apartment is right by the freeway but that's why the rent is lower than the same size units anywhere else on the island. This was built in the 50's when ceilings were 9 and a half feet high, kitchen cabinets went to the ceiling, closets were in the hall and built in's were in the bathroom. I fell in love with the storage . I've lived here for 5 years and don't have a car so I love the fact that it's in town and walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants and the largest mall ...
in Hawaii. The bus service is close by and bus service in Honolulu is awesome because traffic is rated one of the worst in the U.S. Trade winds in Hawaii are the island's air conditioning so windows are open all the time. My unit is the only one with unobstructed breeze going from the back of the bedroom to the living room. My little bit of paradise.
