What has started off as a temporary stopping ground has become my home. I've have lived in a 1 bed here for the last 13yrs and love it! What keeps me here is the apts have cool 1920's character and the rent cannot be beat! Downfalls-electrical & plumbing are all original and maintenance and repairs are not a priority with the owner. Still the best rent in Socal for a cool apt.

I've been in my apartment for almost 2 years now and it's been pretty good so far. It is one of 16 units in a typical 1920's Long Beach style. It isn't a LARGE studio but it's just enough room for me and my things. My favorite features are: it's located 2 blocks from the ocean, it has a large walk-in closet, a built-in desk caddy on the wall next to my bed (a perfect spot for my laptop), and a tiny "backyard" (two concrete steps and an area for me to put some potted succulents). decent neighborhood and I pay MUCH less than people in all of the surrounding apartment buildings. I wish they would've updated the appliances and put in thicker carpet before I moved in but those are about my only gripes.
