a rare apartment in terms of layout and it has been a great place to live in that regard. The downsides: the appliances could use updating and floors need to be refinished, not just restained. They are a little scratched up. We had trouble with mice one winter, but the building got it under control last year and it was much less of an issue. The smaller room on the main floor also is where the apartments heat comes from; it's pretty miserable as a bedroom as a result so would suggest it as a home office. The management is just a block over and usually very responsive and takes care of requests within a day or two. They also haven't raised our rent dramatically each year, unlike other landlords would. All and all: great apartment, clean building, and the outdoor space is such an incredible bonus in a city like NYC.
