Roaches, all over— sometimes even the GIANT ones that are native to restaurant dumpsters. Suspicious rat droppings in the cabinets, but have yet to actually spot. (The building manager’s solution to the droppings we’re “get a cat and don’t tell me about it” I kid you not!!) Infested with termites that eat through the windowsills. They’ll sweet talk you and tell you they spray for pests once a month. That’s a HUGE lie. One washer/dryer in the basement (when I first visited had several dead roaches) CONSTANTLY in use. You’ll be lucky to catch it when it’s empty. Walls are incredibly thin. You hear absolutely everything people are doing in the bathrooms, (yes, like a public bathroom stall) and a little less noisy within the main room/kitchen— but still FAR too much. Want to very clearly hear your neighbor’s vibrator every night? Or listen to them stumble in drunk and yelling at 3am? Or listen to them get sick or struggle poop for 45 mins? This is the place for you!! Bathroom drain is CONSTANTLY clogging. It’s a coin flip, if you can actually get an answer from the building manager, in a timely manner, before repeated attempts. One of my neighbor’s entire ceiling caved in, (due to roof repair negligence) mine was flooded in the same incident. Couldn’t get help until the NEXT. DAY. Even with a second “emergency contact”number for the building manager. Should seriously consider tearing down this outdated mess. Run FAST!!!!
