You get what you pay for. Avoid like the plague
January 11, 2022The building condition and structure is not well taken care of, from the brick walls to the basement laundry to the bathrooms and kitchens. Lower floors have had mice infestations, and upper floors have various bugs visiting often. Scaffolding has covered the stoop for 2.5-3+ years now, and won’t be gone anytime soon, making the building crime-prone. You better pick up your packages within 5 minutes of them being delivered or the building will be broken into and they will be stolen. A fourth of ...the current tenants are chain smokers and it permeates the entire building and other units; the management company promised to evict those tenants after multiple reports to the government yet the tenants are still here, slowly poisoning everyone. The management is also completely unresponsive, even to critical issues like lack of working air conditioning (took 4mos to resolve), weekly outages of the hot water heater, broken laundry machines (took 6 months to resolve). You’d also better hope that your surrounding neighbors either don’t actually live there or are completely silent, because the walls and floors are paper thin. Simply put, this place is not livable. Dark apartment and slow management
July 17, 2020Pros: Lower price compared to surrounding Chelsea apartments, on the same block as Whole Foods, within minutes of the metro, near famous bagel shops. Cons: Dark units, the kitchens are not updated, one laundry unit in the basement used by the entire building, no live-in super to help with maintenance issues timely, and an ongoing rodent issue noted with the Department or Health Pest Control. Mouse infestation, unresponsive management
July 17, 2020There are mice living in the walls (and dying in the walls- hence a weird smell in the building). Most of the tenants are moving our due to the issue. Landlord is totally unresponsive. It’s been reported to the government, but no action is being taken yet. Do not sign a lease in this building for your own sake!!!Review from Apartments.com
