August 9, 2017I lived here for a year from 2015 to 2016. This is a review for a 2BR, 1BA. Pros - heat hot water included - rooms are decent size - good amount of storage space - 1 big pantry and 2 closets - MBTA bus right outside (2 min walk) takes you right to Porter Sq, Harvard Sq, or Alewife station Cons - you need a special vertical AC to fit in their windows - it's $75 extra to rent a parking space - laundry is $2 to wash and $2 to dry. You will need quarters. The machines can be converted to card, ...but management will not do it. - I've had 3 packages stolen and management has done NOTHING to fix it. They told me security cameras will be installed and it never happened. Apparently I was not the only one because another tenant was complaining about this, too. After a while, they stopped responding to my emails. - I asked management for their number to reach them more quickly and never got a response. - I lived here for a year and management never bothered to update the mailbox with my name. - We flagged a leaky faucet situation and they came to fix it a month later, the day before we had to move out. - There were silverfish in the bathroom vents. Nice Apartment for a good price
July 20, 2015I have been living here for 6 years and really enjoy the place. The rent is cheap for the location (approx. 1200$), and heat, hot water, and a parking spot are included. It's about a 20 minute walk to Alewife Station, the last stop on the Red Line, or about a 5 minute drive. There is a paved bike path called the Minuteman Trail right behind the apartment building. Buses run pretty regularly to Alewife and Harvard/Porter Square (every 8 minutes or so). Arlington is not as hip as Cambridge or ...Somerville, but when prices in Davis square and the rest of Somerville start going through the roof, people are going to start coming out here.
