WHAT A FIND!

After searching the canyons of Manhattan for a studio apartment at a monthly rent less costly than a Ferrari, 300 E 46th appeared like an oasis in the desert. My apartment has windows that wrap around from the main room to the angled wall dining area and into the kitchen which has a set of doors! Are you kidding me? Where can you find that type of light and air in a NYC studio. The best part is that the windows all face into the block, and not noisy Second Avenue. So, quiet, airy, ...
light-filled - not too shabby. With egg shell colored paint, the entire space appears larger than it is, and its size is quite decent. There is an abundance of closet space and a large windowed bathroom. Parquet flooring and central air/heat are included. Ikea was the place for me to find just the right furnishings - all light natural colors - for separate main spaces to be created (living area, bedroom area, and dining area). Wall hangings are mostly nautical (that's me), and a beautiful rug sets the tone. The building has an incredible staff who are helpful and friendly. It is located just to the west of the U.N., and is convenient to local public transportation and Grand Central Station. If you work in the midtown area, as I do, walking to the office is easy and quick. You want nightlife? Lots to do on Second and Third Avenues. There is a fabulous Amish market a block away, and a large chain drug store on the ground floor of the building.

This is a great area. The building has studio and sro apartments. Great for minimum and low income. Pet friendly and has a courtyard.there is a sun room, and community room. Plenty of restaurants and Time Square is a block away. Great tourist attraction and lots of sites and places to visit especially Central Park.
