poorly managed, but good first apartment

This is a great apartment for a recent grad moving into the city. That said, you could easily pay around the same amount for a much nicer apartment in the area. I don't typically write negative reviews, but given the experience my roommates and I have had, I feel it is necessary. The property managers for the apartment are rude, accusatory, neglect multiple requests for maintenance and other issues (specifically, vermin). They act like they care when you complain, but you soon learn after ...

I've lived in this building for a year. Rent is market rate, however the building and living conditions are SUB par. Management ignores any requests to address serious issues including, MICE, COCKROACHES, and bathroom LEAKS, and STOLEN MAIL. However, they are very quick to call you when rent is coming due. I have friends that live in the same neighborhood for LESS RENT but have much nicer apartments. Hallways are constantly dirty and the NYU student population is not respectful of common ...
