completely stopped showing up. When we saw the landlady again later, she said the same thing. She said the exterminator comes every month, which he had not for the past two months. She lied directly to us. Our landlady does not live on the premises and only appeared to collect the rent each month. If we ever called to report a problem or complaint, she would not answer the phone. We asked for an air condition (which she had promised to provide) in May because summer was coming and it was going to get hot. She promised to have it to us in a month. It is now the middle of August, no air conditioner. We have brought the problem up to her many times and she promised to have it soon, each time. It is too hot in our apartment. Every few weeks a notice appeared on our door that the building's power might be shut off, because our landlady had failed to pay the electric bill. It never got to the point where the electric was shut off, but it's the idea that she was failing so frequently to pay that really got under our skin. Some other small things that happen are also irritating. Every time the front door handle is replaced, it is broken again in a matter of days. We have old fashioned fuse boxes instead of breakers, which I believe isd illegal and our building needs to be updated. The parking is terrible and getting in and out is such a pain that my fiance and I prefer to walk whenever possible. We have also recently found out that a tenant upstairs does not even have a fridge in his apartment. Our own fridge dies on us and we keep a mini fridge for when this happens, it is so frequent. On the upside, our neighbors were wonderful.Everyone in the building knows each other and helps out, as neighbors do. Perhaps we are all bonded by our distaste for our landlady, Ms. Krug. But as nice as the other tenants are, I can not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Please be informed and avoid at all costs!
