Leaks, techno and roaches oh my!

In the beginning there was an application. Now this application was the most dense with questions I'd ever seen. It took them an entire month to look it over and decide, not to mention everything was done by fax only. Which in my opinion is an archaic form of communication, but whatever. Upon finally getting accepted, yippie, we enter only to find the apartment half finished with sinks not attached and roaches in the drains and walls. Now this isn't a a super cheap apartment our rent in about ...

$750 ea. and it is in a nice(ish) area. After lots of money spent at home depo for roach demolition and our landlords spraying and sealing up the walls, I am awaken nightly to my neighbor above me playing heavy base techno. Now I am a music lover, but jeez if you're going to wake me up at least play good music. Anywho, I called my manager yet again to complain about this new apartment and the noise control at 2am on a Tuesday night, and they say well we can't control your neighbors... Wait, isn't that your job Last but not least I noticed a leak from under my shower so I called and asked them to come by and check it out. That has now turned into the maintenance guys completely ripping out my shower and rebuilding it because "it wasn't done right the first time" so currently that is what I'm dealing with. Needless to say, I have 9 months left on the lease at this wonderful palace. The only way I deal is by saying the serenity prayer daily. :-) #glasshalffull
