Other highlights: paper thin walls, broken toys on the playground, animal waste everywhere, trash bins always open and overflowing, dead grass that felt like needles, and a manager (at the time) who was rather horrible to deal with. Also they put the rock bottom cheapest carpet that a professional cleaner cant clean, and the wrong finish paint that literally scrubs off when you try to clean the wall. It is "low income" housing and it completely feels like it. There's a wide mix of residents and many good families living there. It's too bad that they don't keep up on the property and expect the tenants who move to pay for the cost of turning over the apartment. Bottom line here is this could be a good stepping stone if it were managed properly. The property started out okay for us but it progressively got worse when Spokane Housing Ventures took over. They look down on their residents and do not perform fair walk through assessments and are unreachable to address concerns. We are currently looking into joining a suit against this operation that takes advantage of low income families with unfair and illegal housing practices.
