If you could see what I hear...
August 11, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comI live in a one bedroom across from ST Nicholas Park and City College. However, the view from my livingroom window is not the park, but a brick wall belonging to the next building. The kitchen, bedroom and bathroom windows face a side street and another building across a very narrow street. So if God forbid, someone throws a party in any of the buildings on this street, the sound bounces off the walls and sounds like it's inside of your apartment. My upstairs neighbors are a family of five. ...Yes, five. And the children (all under age 10) are allowed to stay up into the wee small hours and scream and yell and run and jump and ride something that sounds like a scooter. So loud that people who don't even live under them, just near them complain. There are a lot of noise complaints in this building. Some legitimate, some because of the way the building is made. For example, if your phone rings or even vibrates, the person in the apartment below can hear it. As well as every word of any conversation if your house is quite.Read More
