It is completely fenced, with its own landscaped front yard area, providing tenants with a very private indoor/outdoor rental experience. It is located in the back part of a home in the residential Beverlywood area, on Los Angeles' westside. There is no direct line of sight between the unit and the main house or any neighboring properties. You enter through a locked door in a tall, solid driveway gate and reach the unit along a paved, well-lit path. There is also lighting over the gate and a motion light for the driveway for when you come and go at night -- all of which provides you with a safe, secure environment. The thoughtfully-designed unit offers a very efficient layout with a full-size closet, plenty of cabinet space, including under the bed, and pull-out containers for smaller items. There is also a built-in desk/work area. The living area has a very comfortable loveseat-size couch facing a 55" HDTV, which can be pulled away from the wall and turned to face the bed. There is a pull-out footstool that can also be used for seating while working at the desk area below the TV. The kitchenette includes a four-burner electric rangetop, an over-the-counter microwave/convection oven, a counter-top toaster-oven/air fryer, an apartment-size refrigerator, a garbage disposal, a coffee maker and a compact, all-in-one high-efficiency washer/dryer unit. There is a small trestle table for two with sides that can fold up for more space. The kitchen comes stocked with dishware, utensils, pots, pans, food storage containers, basic cooking supplies and more. The bathroom has plenty of storage under the sink, in a small cabinet and on a shelf unit under the window. Bath supplies are included. The bed is a full, which is just slightly smaller than a queen -- something to consider if you require a large bed. The unit includes an iron and ironing board. Outside, there is shaded seating at a table underneath a ficus tree in the back part of your own yard. There is also a small bistro set on the deck just outside the front door, along with an adjustable lounge chair on the patio, providing you with multiple options to work or relax in privacy outside of the unit. The yard has attractive patio lighting during the night. You'll find the private yard a peaceful environment to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of wine at the end of the day or to just hang-out. The cottage comes with high-speed, wireless Internet, HD broadcast TV and a Roku unit, allowing you to stream any services you may use. There is a remote-controlled AC/heating unit mounted high on the wall. Utilities are also included. Parking is on a residential street comprised of all single-family homes. You're just around the corner from L.A.'s SoRo District, along Robertson Blvd, where you'll find a couple of coffee houses, a smoothie store, a Jewish bakery, a Mexican restaurant, a cafe that serves as the bakery for the iconic Ivy restaurant, and more. And, the very popular downtown Culver City area is just one mile away - within walking distance for most. There, you can walk around and get something to eat or drink at one of the many restaurant choices, including the lounge at the iconic Culver Hotel, built in 1924. The L.A. Metro Expo station is in downtown, a part of the new Ivy Station development. Also downtown is the Culver City Arts District, which includes the historical Helms Bakery District, for food and unique interior design stores. Sony Pictures and the Culver Studios are also part of the Culver City downtown area. The cottage has a great central location on L.A.s westside -- only 2 miles from Beverly Hills, 2 miles from Century City, 6 miles from Santa Monica, 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, 12 miles from LAX Airport and close to anywhere else in Los Angeles. This includes Venice Beach, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Marina del Rey, Bel Air, The Grove & Farmers Market, Pacific Palisades, and much more. Please keep in mind - this is a smallish space with a full-size bed. It is really best suited for one individual who prefers their own private small home, but could work for a couple comfortable with the smaller space and full-size bed.
