About Acadia
Opened in Spring 2023, Acadia is a 120-unit apartment complex located along Bardon Avenue in Superior, Wisconsin. This new development will feature studio, 1- and 2-bedroom units along with ground-level, interior parking. This modern construction is located near elementary and high schools, several athletic fields, near Barker’s Island and the waterfront and many other recreation areas surrounding Superior. Acadia offers spacious studio, 1 and 2-bedroom floor plans. Each unit includes modern kitchens with energy efficient stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, ample storage space, laminate wood flooring, carpeted bedrooms, modern fixtures, stackable washer and dryer, high speed internet access, and most units have a private outdoor balcony. The complex offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, virtual fitness room, pet spa, conference room, and multiple community areas for residents to enjoy. The outdoor amenity area includes firepits, gourmet grilling stations and plenty of seating. Indoor heated parking and storage units are available to rent. The modern construction is located near local schools, the Superior airport and Mariner Business Center. Acadia’s location was previously home to St. Joseph Children’s Home and the Chapel of the Angels. Named for a historic tie to the area, the name Acadia was selected in reference to the local quarry that supplied the foundation stone used in the construction of Fairlawn Mansion. The quarry was located near Amnicon Falls and owned by the Bardon family before the land became a part of Amnicon Falls State Park. The word Acadia means "Idyllic Place".
