Servicemembers beware. This place is not worth the low cost.
August 6, 2024Spend your BAH someplace better. This 'gated complex' is in the heart of a bad part of Tacoma. If you want to sleep soundly without fear of break ins or homeless incursions, do NOT move in here. The gates are permanently open and allow anyone to come in at any time. The management is slow at best and have a difficult time resolving problems. If I could rate lower than one star I would. This area is not safe, secure or presentable.Property Manager Responded

January 29, 2023Pool is not a real perk so if that’s your draw, don’t do it. Office hours are iffy. Staff is pretty nice. Parking is HORRIBLE. Must pay for parking, no guest parking. Free lot is outside of gate, is not safe, and far from units. May be better looking elsewhere, I will be once my lease is up.Review from Apartments.com

March 6, 2017I live here and it's not the best place. It's a bad area, people live in their cars on the side street next to my apartment. The management sucks. They notify you late on things, when we get our rent bill they double it sometimes for no reason. It is overpriced for the area and quality. It's just not a good place, in my opinion. Really not a good place to live
February 6, 2016I wouldn't recommend living here to anyone really. The management charged us multiple several times for the forced trash vallet which we had to go in to the office to fix pretty much every month. Their gate to keep the complex more secure was broken the entire time we lived there. An alcoholic heroin dealer likes to sit in the parking lot and drink naked; the same parking lot thats next to the children's playground. He deals heroin out of his apartment as well so there's a lot of sketchy people ...coming and going. Don't expect to get anything from your deposit back either. "Standard" cleaning fees will equal much more than anything you paid them so good luck! We had a leak from our stove fan area that was passed off several times as just the roofers power washing, yet it leaked for a good three months. They were also pretty incompetent about fixing things in the apartment. They used very cheap or even the complete wrong caulking in the bathroom so it leaked to the apartment below and they just painted over mold that kept coming back in the bathroom from the tenants before us. It's really bad and I am having even more trouble with another Pacific Living complex so I would recommend that people stay away from all Pacific Living Properties.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Nice, mainly quiet living in a good commuting location
July 21, 2015Waverly Farms (and Villas) is a rather large complex of apartments and fourplexes, just off I-5 in Tacoma. There's a small pool and a cabana/office area with a small workout room. The management and sales team changes every 4 months it seems, so getting maintenance things taken care of in a timely manner can be dicey, and having questions answered was a problem. Expect to wait a while for that outside hallway light to be changed. There is an option to have a trash valet 5 days a week; very ...handy when you live upstairs or have a lot of trash to transport. Currently, the rent is reasonable for the area, and the apartments themselves are a great size. The units have washers and dryers in them, which was a big selling point for me. They also have fireplaces in them, and a deck or a patio space. There is also parking; the Villas offer carports and garages, the apartments have unassigned spaces. Depending on where your apartment is located, there can be a lot of traffic noise/other urban noise - not usually enough to complain about, but one should be aware that this is a possibility. If you're looking for a fairly drama-free, urban, easy to commute from living space, I would recommend this place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
