current resident, horrible management, unprofessional
July 17, 2024DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS BUILDING. and please order the reviews by date and only read the new ones Everyone warned me NOT to rent here 1) I had to sign the lease before seeing the apartment and I was sent a video OF A DIFFERENT apartment altogether (different plan, larger bu at least 100 sqf) 2) I asked abt noise and specifically requested a quiet apartment, they SOMEHOW forgot to mention that the apartment was right above of the pool 3) When I arrived and was shcoked by the ‘wrong apartment’ ...they gave me i couldnt talk to any manager for 15 days because nobody wants to work and because they are the definition of incompetence 4) I reported brown mud coming out of my fridge water 2 weeks and nobody bothered fixing it 5) The staff is impolite (especially management) and rude and you can hear them make fun of residents 6) the dog park smells like garbage as it is localized near the garbage area 7) The whole ambiance there is trashy and disgusting 8) when i asked to breake the lease they asked for a fee of 3800 usd They are complwtely unprofessional and unreliable and honestly completely rude 9) DEFINITELY NOT LUXURY LIVING. maintenance suck just read the commentsRead MoreReview from Apartments.com

May 4, 2023I’ve seen some changes with the new property manager, which is very much appreciated. The cleanliness has also improved.. Extremely terrible experience. Stay AWAY
February 1, 2023Honestly, typing this is really a disappointment because I had such high hopes. I moved from NY to Houston and toured a lot of buildings but I chose Allure. I loved the community and my tour guide was awesome. I moved in January 2023 and immediately regret my decision. First, they are just a MESS. Second, I flew from NY, signed paperwork and got my keys. INSTANT regrets. The apartment floors were dirty and were not cleaned. The ice/water dispenser was rusty and unusable. The bathtub was ...dirty and not cleaned. The kitchen sink was rusty and has mess in the drain. I asked the agent that walked me to my apartment about the appearance and she told me there was “a store close buy to purchase cleaning supplies.” I was disappointed because I was excited to move to Houston and this building. I went and spoke to the manager whom already has a picture of the refrigerator on her phone (so she was aware of the issue) and offered no resolve. I told her the state of the apartment and she said “it should have been cleaned” but again, no resolve. It appears that no one bothered to check the apartment before they rented to a new tenant and it shows they do not care about their tenants. This was instantly the worst decision I ever made moving here and I wish I did not have to live here. Please beware of these issues if you are thinking of moving here. September 2, 2022Allure Hermann Park is not the place you want to live, trust me on this. My move-in date was July 7, 2022, and the A/C unit was not functioning. If you live in the city of Houston you know that during the summer months air conditioning is vital, especially when you have a pet (I'm a dog dad) I paid a full month's rent when I signed my lease but wasn't able to move into my apartment until August 4th. So I was couch surfing with my brother and friends because I had nowhere else to live (even though ...I had signed a lease and paid full rent) Now you would think because I moved in that the A/C was fixed, well it was not. After notifying the new management of my issues it took over a week for me to get a single-room portable A/C unit that only cooled one room at a time. Eventually, the A/C unit had to be completely replaced, which took a day to accomplish. Now you would also think that because my apartment wasn't livable for almost a month that I would not need to pay for the time I wasn't able to live on the property. Well, I just found out that they are expecting me to pay full rent even though I couldn't actually live in my apartment. I was told if I want to get the rent covered for the time I wasn't able to live in the unit that I needed to reach out to the previous management company (Hanover) myself and get it taken care of. For what you would imagine is supposed to be a 'Luxury" apartment living it's far from it. High-level Customer service is expected at a place like this and I deeply regret signing a lease agreement to live here. Pray for me and Beaux (my dog) y'all. Always a surprise when you live here!
August 8, 2022Facilities good but don’t let that distract you from the ever unresponsive management, the lack of functioning elevators, the poorly-maintained equipment, the massive lines for shared facilities, and the overall mediocre quality of life given the supposed access to these amenities. Don’t be fooled, not everything that glitters is gold, and this building certainly isn’t. As but one example, took three weeks and a barrage of calls to answer a simple question about adding someone to my lease. I ...called and left a message at least four or five times and every time it was “they’re out giving a tour but they’ll call you when they’re back in the office”. I had to visit in person to ever get a question addressed if answering me didn’t bring them more revenue. As a cherry on top, when they did send me an email with the document I requested, they scanned the wrong side of the page and I received a blank scan. I cannot comprehend how anyone can even make a mistake like that. When I responded shortly pointing out that the file was blank, I never heard back. Another hitch is that the elevators never all work at the same time. Nightmarish given that there are 29 floors and you need to get to work on time. Maintenance requests are usually handled within a day tops which is good for some requests but not good when your A/C goes out and it’s a Texas summer. Overall, live elsewhere. I cannot emphasize this enough. I am counting on my fingers until the end of my lease. Great luxury building with awesome customer service
June 30, 2022We moved in about a month ago and the experience was an excellent one. The highest recommendation goes to Stephen he is truly an amazing person and goes above and beyond to make you happy. Other than the great amenities and location of this building it was mostly because of Stephen that we decided to lease in the Hanover Herman park. Any issues we had were address right away and resolved promptly. Highly recommend living here and taking advantage of the great amenities and great customer service ...from Stephen.
