Don't Let the new look fool you
January 15, 2021Current resident here. Even with the renovations the quality is poor. The apartment buildings and complex is dirty and trash. If you live under someone, be prepared to hear every single move they make. The floors creaknso bad it sounds as if it'll collapse on the next step. The floors are carpet but so poorly padded that no step goes unheard. Management is poor. Disappointed
July 31, 2015Applewood is not ideal. My first clue was that we found kitty litter in the carpet when we first moved in; it was not cleaned well. Cars here are broken into regularly, but I don't feel personally in danger. The pool is closed often. People are still allowed to smoke inside the building and it wafts into my apartment from theirs. One of my kitchen cabinet doors fell off in my hand, but the maintenance staff is quick to respond. My patio screen door won't stay on. I've become conditioned to step ...over anywhere the carpet ends because it's so thin and worn out the tack strips stab the bottoms of my feet. The office staff seems to be confused about a lot of things; I couldn't get a clear answer regarding how much more money I owed prior to moving out.
