Located just north of the heart of Washington, DC, Silver Spring has become a major business hub and hosts several multi-cultural festivals as well as a growing arts community. Artspace, with the Division of Housing – Montgomery County, will develop the former Third District Police Station and adjacent land located on Sligo Avenue into an arts center anchored by affordable live/work housing for artists. Not every unit has those gorgeous windows. Most do not have balconies. There is ONE elevator at the front of the building for 60-some apartments. The units themselves are handicapped accessible - but the building is not: if the elevator is out, the building is not accessible in or out. Although I over qualified for these apartments, I would highly recommend the stay there , the managers were very helpful and patient throughout the whole application status process. I thank them for that more anything ! The apartments look nice and presents great opportunities for their future plans there as an artist at the art space apartments. This seem to be a very representable company overall ! Good wishes to the future tenants! Thank you to the 2 managers!

We’ve been so happy to get a unit at Artspace. Both community managers have been, patient, kind and thorough. If you don’t hear back right away, you should email —they’re great at email responses. The location is superb and the neighborhood will be quieter once the townhomes are built. Stay the course don’t get discouraged, it takes time to get a unit.
