Ideal for Beginning Families
September 27, 2015So I've lived at Ashland Gardens for at least 6 years now and honestly the apartment complex is possibly one of the best apartments you can live at, now note i said possibly because some of the apartments depending on who you live next to might drive you crazy with the amount of noise some of the tenants can make but mostly The landlord or landlords in my case since I seen three come through this place have been very good at managing any complaints. So just make sure you ask about any possible ...noise complaints in the unit your moving into and you should be fine. The areas within the apartment are always kept clean and are surrounded by trees which gives the apartment a cool little nature feel. The community is very nice, especially for families, due to a great elementary school being right across the street and San Lorenzo High School being only 5 minutes away. There is also a full running track across the street open to the public which is a great way is get in some exercise or just walk any dogs you might have. Peaceful and quiet place. Only about a 5 min drive/10 min walk to the nearest train/Bus station (Bayfair BART/AC Transit) so its very convenient for people possible working in San Francisco, which is usually just a 45 min trip from Bayfair Bart. No pest problems in the time I've lived here so no worries there. And yeah overall if your a beginning family looking for a place to set a foundation while you save up for a house or maybe just someone fresh out of college and your in the east bay definitely check out this apartment complex.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Exceptional housing
July 20, 2015I am pleased with my home in San lorenzo. The manager and maintenance guy are on top of any requests for the unit I am currently rent. This quiet gated community is perfect for me. It's very close to Bart and right across from a school.Review from Apartments.com
Great price, friendly community
October 17, 2013My girlfriend and I have lived at Ashland Garden Apartments for a year. Please read the following for a recap of our experience. Overall, Ashland Garden Apartments, in my opinion, a gem in the San Lorenzo. Its close enough to walk to the Bay Fair Bart Station or the Bay Fair Mall, but isolated from all the crime. The apartment complex is surrounded by houses on 3 sides, and a school with a new park on the 4th side so that also offers a bit of protection. Once inside the complex, the community is ...very friendly, quiet, and family oriented. The inside courtyard has a few beautiful redwoods, a couple of water fountains, and a couple of grills. One of my favorite things is to leave the bedroom window open and fall asleep listening to the fountain. The downsides to the apartment complex: 1. Office hours are normal business hours, so sometimes its hard to meet in person if the situation calls for it. 2. No gym, or pool 3. Not all parking spots are covered The upsides to the apartment complex: 1. Office staff is very friendly, helpful, and responsive. If they can they will meet us by our schedule if we can't make it during business hours, and they always reply to emails or phone-calls even if we leave a message. 2. Friendly and safe community 3.
