Poor Management
December 10, 2024Management doesn't care about quality of living. The Bellerive is filthy and numerous repairs needed. They're nice and quick to respond, but the solutions are temporary. There is no pride in work. Residents pay for a clean and well-functioning apartment, amenities, and building. The holiday decor and resident activities don't make up for poor quality and service.Property Manager Responded

Never rent here or from MAC
March 28, 2019If I could give 0 stars about the leasing/management staff, I would. I have lived at one of their properties for 9 months and every month there is an issue. They never send out an email to the residents notifying any issues with water. The water in my building goes out EVERY MONTH. They are more interested in renovating a building, flipping it for income and then not fixing the actual structure or important issues with the original building. They will/would rather give you amenities no one ...needs, throw events instead of fixing issues. If they know they will have to turn off the water for hours, they will NOT notify anyone before. You instead have to find out for yourself when you want to take a shower or use water in your apartment in general. One time last month we went a day without any running water whatsoever. It took me calling the office and yelling at them for a simple email to be sent out. There is no communication. Even the staff when I call agree, I tell them an email could’ve sent out, then they agree with me. Then next month it’s the same thing. I even spoke with maintenance last week and they said there is no communication. I have sent so many emails to the management and staff and it’s like talking to a wall. They want you to pay your rent but they won’t actually take care of their residents. I hate this place and Mac properties. I would never ever recommend this place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
The Bellerive (Mac Apartments)
August 7, 2015I love this building and my apartment. Mac renovated it very thoughtfully. They added modern amenities and kitchens, but kept historical details like crown molding, marble floors and a beautiful sculpted ceiling in the lobby. I love imaging what it was like when people like Billie Holiday and Al Capone stayed here in the 30s. It's located within 5-10 minutes from the Plaza, Westport, River Market and lots of museums. I've read other reviews complaining about the ac/heating units. So far I ...haven't had a problem, but I haven't lived here when the switch from cooling to heating has taken place so it is hard to say. My only complaint is the parking situation. There is a lot behind the building used for resident parking. I've been on the waitlist for a couple months, but haven't been given a spot yet even though it seems like there are a lot of empty spots in the lot (at all times of the day). There was a public parking street behind the building as well, but one side recently got changed to a no parking zone, so parking is very limited.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

July 20, 2015The Bellerive is a one stop shop when it comes to apts. Everything you need is located inside. Nice weight room, bar and lounge area and even a private movie theater. I recommend this place for anyone looking for good midtown living.Review from Apartments.com
