it’s good…until it isn’t…

Well….it’s a roof over your head (until water floods through your ceiling lights).
A place to wash and dry your clothes (unless your dryer is broken for 2 1/2 months with no end in sight of it being fixed).
A safe haven for you and your family (oh wait…management has a “broken” master key to your apartment and needs to take yours for 2 days so you have no way to enter your apartment if it’s locked).
A clean, well-kept community (sorry - I have the wrong place. This one will block all your cars ...
in when it snows, won’t clear the walkways sufficiently, paints over water damage from earlier said roof flood without checking for mold even when asked).
A responsive management (if you count never picking up the phone in the entire 2 years that I lived there or responding to at least 50% of my calls).
A well-organized management (except for when they wouldn’t complete the necessary forms to help us move out, give us move out procedures, etc unless I physically walked in a demanded so)
A sense of community (they try with this one. Until you get the millionth email saying “DOG POOP. CLEAN THE DOG POOP” sent to the entire community in a week)
Save yourself the overpriced headache of a roof over your head. If you want to spend this amount of money on an apartment, you can certainly do that somewhere else for better quality.

We are particularly concerned to read about the issues you faced with water intrusion through ceiling lights, the extended period your dryer was out of service, and the disruption caused by the master key situation. The fact that your vehicle was blocked in during snowy weather and that walkways were not adequately cleared is also a serious concern, and we apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort these situations caused. We also regret to learn that water damage was painted over without a thorough check for mold, and that your move-out procedures were not handled efficiently.

The managers and maintenance is absolutely horrible for the amount of money and level of service Katy trails claims to provide. You can see by the people moving out and people moving in just how horrible it has become. The management and matinee have been slow to respond or unresponsive even when it comes to issues. The apartments seem nice but are horribly constructed with the cheapest materials. As a commercial general contractor they should be embarrassed. I know resort and luxury apartments ...
use things that are easily available and uniform. That usually falls into a cheaper category, but this complex goes above and beyond to cut corners to provide the cheapest and worst quality flooring, cabinets, appliances, and utilities. They will expect you to pay for things at outlandish prices as well such as carpet to make even more money. Save yourself the time and headache of living in this community. I was excited to leave this place, like most of residents that have watched the changes as they charge more and give you less.

I visit here very often and absolutely love how the property is very well maintained and the apartments are spacious and clean. The ponds are a very nice touch and relaxing to be by.
And the staff is always courteous and respectful. They know you by name which is very comforting. Excellent complex to visit and to live at.

As someone renting an apartment for the first time in 25yrs I was a bit apprehensive about everything. I was very familiar with the area and property though and ended up renting a 2bdrm, 2.5bth townhouse.
I am finishing my 1yr lease moving on to a transition out of state. My experience at The Boulders at Katy Trails though has been fantastic. The staff has been great (in my very minimal interactions), any issues or questions I had were addressed and resolved very quickly and the maintenance ...
staff is top notch!! I would recommend the complex to anyone looking for more than just an apartment. The setting, landscaping, pool and location set it apart. The apartments are good sized and garages are available too (I rented one while here).
I always felt that my son and I were safe, as well as my cars and property. The location can't be beat and frankly it's just a nice property to roam as well. The entire experience was much better than I anticipated or could have hoped for. Kudos to the team here!!

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Missouri and after a decent search decided to live at the Boulders. The complex contains both condos and apartments that have a very luxurious feel. There is always someone in the office at the clubhouse if you need help with anything. The employees are all very nice and helpful. The complex has many cool features like a basketball/tennis court, indoor and outdoor pools, a small theatre, a computer room, a massage room, a putting green, a catch and release ...
pond, and a car wash port with hoses. Our apartment is very clean and beautiful. It has plenty of space for our big sectional couch and we love sitting out on our balcony. Each unit has a washer and dryer which is very convenient. We also like how quiet it is here. You do not hear neighbors yelling or stomping and there aren't kids running around everywhere. The only negative I would say is that depending on where your unit it, you can be sort of far away from your mailbox and the clubhouse and pool. We don't mind not being close to the pool, but I do wish the mail was closer. Overall though, it is by far the best apartment I have ever lived in and it felt like home right when we moved in.
