My First Apartment

I moved in to Cosmo a couple years ago and wanted to save my review for after my whole experience had ended. I would constantly say to myself that I wanted to pick up the building in put it somewhere else. Cosmo Residential is a great building in a horrible neighborhood. There is nothing to do in Sylmar. Everything around you is either chains or Mexican food, and nothing recreational to do in the slightest. The unit I stayed in was a perfect fit though. In unit Washer and Dryer is an absolute ...
must for me going forward and thankfully this place has it. Rolando can be very hit or miss. I read all the reviews saying he was unprofessional before I moved in and my first impressions were not great but the more you work with him you can see he is a nice guy but he does still lack proper communication skills and I think a language barrier makes that worse. His sister is in charge of cleaning the building and there was just something about her that really rubbed me the wrong way. She was a nice person when you talk to her but then I would notice her doing things that made it feel like it was all an act. The biggest issue here though really is the surrounding area. The neighborhood behind the building CONSTANTLY has parties or is just playing music at an absurdly loud level. All day. All night. And if you live on the side facing the neighborhood like I did, you'll have to get used to that. Walking around the area at times can make somebody feel uneasy. There's a lot of shady individuals who like to roam around San Fernando Rd. And with a one bedroom you only get one parking spot in an area that street parking is very hard to find and the parking lot next door at the donut shop threatens to tow if you stay over night. I should also mention that you are right next to train tracks. So the noise of that can get very loud and at around 11:30 every night a freight train drives by and shakes the whole building. I actually grew very fond of the shaking at times strangely enough. Despite all this, Cosmo was the first place I've ever lived away from my family and I really did love my time there. There are many issues but if none of them were big enough to be the reason for me to leave. The reason to leave is the location.

I moved into this building 3 months ago and definitely LOVE it !! Manager and tenants are very nice !!! . Building gets cleaned 2x day and the lady that cleans is very friendly . I highly recommend this property !!!! ..... pet friendly too ;)

Drove 45 minutes for a 2:00 appt. with Rolando. Got there at 2:00 and he was having a cheeseburger with his son and asked me to come back at 3:30. Huh? Had an appointment? Needless to say I couldn't believe what he was telling me! Definitely won't be living here.

so sorry for the inconvenience, we don't make appointments with any potential tenants we always ask to call in advance before coming to the building. this lady show up to the rental office at my launch time, i respectfully ask her to came back in 30 minutes to show the vacancy unit, she show a bad attitude, respond to me she have another app at 3 pm. like an hour later her mom call me again complain about this situacion i try to explain to her what happen but like her daughter she have a really bad actitud, i ask if she is not happy she can file a complaint with the owners of the building or put a review in apartments ,com

We were looking for an apartment and found the best one in sylmar..we were one of the first tenants to move in.Rolando who is the manager took us on a tour of the bldg and showed us the many different floor plans that they have..he was very nice and professional.All the apartments are beautiful!! We have now lived her for almost a year and this is our home..Rolando and the staff take such good care of the bldg.. I called today to inquire about a 2 bedroom apartment.. The guy that answer (the property manager) is rude and extremely unprofessional. When he first answer he answer with a "hello" no greeting introduction stating that it was Cosmo residential .. He sounded like he was at home and bother to be on the phone!! I tried asking for upper management but he said that he was it!! I hope this complaint gets to the top and they do something about this unprofessional individual... People like him should ...

I had tried everywhere, and I had shoveled out so much money for applications that it was beginning to total a first months rent. Finally, I have found Cosmo Residential. Fully equipped with a gym, lounge area, and even a room to rent to hold parties in. It does not have a pool, which could be a problem for people, however, I myself am not much of a swimmer. The apartment itself feels like home. Each apartment contains great vinyl flooring and very modern kitchen appliances and cupboards. I have never run into a serious problem while living here, and what was a last ditch effort to find a place, turned out to be the best place for me to live.
