Property way too strong on its floors

The manual alone on how to take care of the floors is ridiculously long and the amount of money they want to charge you for 'damaging' the floor is outrageous. We got charged to replace flooring that had already been damaged when we moved in, which was evident by the flash drive of pictures they keep of all move ins. They also charged us for a part of flooring that wasn't even damaged. I would avoid renting here if you at all want to consider actually 'living' and not spending all day walking ...

around on egg shells hoping you didn't tip off on there 1000 different ways of 'damaging' their floors.

For Thanksgiving, they offered everyone movie theater tickets to the Marvels or Hunger Games. They treated everyone to breakfast and every Sunday night.....dinner. They did a Halloween party and had a photo booth for people and pets. They really go out of their way. Everything so clean and quiet. I love my home.

Moved out about a year ago and was hit by almost $1000 in fees for “damage” that included stuff that was already there before I moved in (scratches on floors, holes on walls, flaking paint, etc). Quite a bit of other negative stuff I could list. Only positive thing to say is they do a good job with snow removal.

Me and boyfriend just moved in last month and Mariah was such a great help getting us settled in to make us feel comfortable in our new home. It was the best experience ever and it is such a beautiful place all around, the staff is wonderful and they care about everyone. Highly recommend!!!

This building is older but the Management is clearly invested in this place. Many updates and many amenities at a competitive rate. Not only allow any pet but offers 2 dog parks and pet events like photo contests for free pet rent. Covid is hard on everyone right now but they stayed open. Only thing missing is only certain service requests are being done right due to not wanting to enter everyones home-which is understandable. comfortable with my neighbors and have friends now that I go biking with-the resident events that made that possible are also on hold which is a bummer but again I understand. Yes I really live here. I have lived here 5 years. Some come and go and some have been here longer than I have. I am sad to see so many bad reviews but I know some of my neighbors are loud or don't pick up their dog poop(they got fined). So I recommend not trusting any review if you only believe the bad ones. They are still open for tours and you can judge for yourself :)

Beautiful place to live

I moved into the Currents a year ago and I am loving it. The apartment itself very spacious. Love the balcony. Tootsie (my dog); love to sit out there. But the best part of living there is the grounds , very beautiful.; There is 2 dog parks; tootsie has a blast there. I have 3 granddaughters who love to come visit because there is so much to do. Indoor outdoor pools.; Basketball court, playground and even a room where you can get movies. There is a exercise room too. Havent used it yet though ; ...

I moved into the Currents in July 2019. I was traveling previously and expected to do more. After I checked out the buildings, toured the amenities and learned the community's animal friendliness... I couldn't pass it up. Indoor pool with saunas and lounging area, outdoor pool, courtyard with picnic tables and grills, basketball and tennis courts. Anyone with a breed like mine would understand! Finding a place to accept and treat a 'bully' as an equal to a yorky is beautiful. The staff are so friendly they give my Thor a treat anytime he goes with me to pick up a parcel. This place is more than an 'Apartment' its a Community!

We have lived here in the same apartment for about ten years. Any time something needed to be fixed (which has been rarely), it had been done so promptly. I have found all the staff (the office people, maintainance people, etc) to be very nice and friendly. The grounds are kept well groomed. While the parking lot was riddled with pot holes for the first couple years we lived here, it has been well-maintained over the last several years. One of the buildings is pet friendly (no dog breed ...

restrictions—which could be a good or bad thing depending on your view). They also have a dog poop DNA policy, i.e., if you leave your dog’s poop outside, they will know it is your dog and you’ll get a hefty fine. So needless to say the grounds are poop free. There are lots of great amenities. The indoor and outdoor pools are great. The gym/exercise room is OK. I believe they are remodeling it very soon (and hopefully replacing the broken treadmill). I love it’s location (about 10 minute walk the Hilde Performance Centre and the beautiful gardens and wooded areas around it). Another 10 minutes and you’re at the public library, supermarket, movie theatre, etc. Another great feature is the metro buses stop right outside the apartment buildings in the mornings and evenings. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family if they were looking for an apartment. One thing i think management should consider is allowing residents to sign a 2 (or even 3) year lease at a slightly discounted rate instead of just the 1 year lease they offer.

I am a long time resident and have even referred friends here. Why? Because look around it is beautiful and they really pay attention to details. The staff here are so friendly and they host fun events for the residents. Plus they are so pet friendly they have TWO dog areas. One is quite large and beautiful. And don't worry about being embarrassed about company over and stepping in poo. They have a DNA system set up for dogs so the area is clean! Which is why I wanted to leave a positive review ...

because I am shocked at all the negative reviews. Probably got charged for not picking up because the staff here are the friendliest. They even extended their hours recently so I don't have to rush home to pick up my packages. Don't believe all the negative, come in and see for yourself. Dear Renters, The Currents Apartments blew my mind! Everyone gets nervous moving to a new place, especially me. The Currents Apartments are amazing, I have never felt so at home and excited for the future then I am at the Currents. They have so many amenities and the most caring staff! When I have a stressful day, I come home and take a dip in one of the refreshing Pools or relax in the sauna! Sometimes to relieve stress I get a workout in, whether I am at the Fitness Center, Tennis, Basketball ...

and Volleyball Courts! There is something for everyone, I made one of my best friends the day I decided to play some volleyball with people in my building. The Currents are extremely pet friendly and they also have a handy On-Premises Store, Business Center Services, Wi-Fi, Coffee, Guest and Travel Accommodations and more!
