March 31, 2023Scheduled a tour and Went. Took the bus there. When I got there they didn’t answer the phone was not able to get to the office, tried to leave a message and the answering machine was full. Great Management Team and Cool Place to Live!
August 22, 2021The City View Lofts in Richmond, VA is a great place to live. The buildings have a cool industrial aesthetic, a well equipped workout room, and a lovely pool. The brick walls and soaring ceilings give the unit an almost art gallery feel. But, best of all is the management staff, especially April who went above and beyond to assist during a difficult year. Don't even try.
April 8, 2017We live out of town and work full-time. We had scheduled an appointment to tour a few units over the phone for 3pm today - a Saturday. We get here at 2:50, and shortly after, another woman joins us. After 30 mins of nobody coming to get us for the tour and trying to call the leasing office (which we were sitting in, and it's empty), the other woman says good luck and leaves. We finally get in touch with someone off-site who says there was no record of our tour even though we had the name of the ...person who was supposed to tour us. It was almost like she was trying to put the blame on us with the whole "it was a miscommunication" bit. We get off the phone after requesting someone in charge contact us so we can straighten this out. As we get off the phone, a man walks in (it's now 3:50pm) and asks if he can help us. We curtly explain to him our situation and he blames it on their communication center. When we ask if we can do a tour despite all of this, he says "we're closing, I've been doing tours all day." We then find out that he is the one that was supposed to tour us. Keep in mind, it's not yet 4pm, they're technically still open and there was no effort made to accommodate us after we drove into Richmond to specifically see this one apartment. We will be making a formal complaint, but my advice is to admire the photos of the place online, but look elsewhere.Property Manager Responded

What's More Important to You?
April 3, 2017City View Lofts looks great. The inside of the apartments look really good. The amenities are amazing. I love the clubhouse, gym, the heated pool that's open year-round, and the fire pit. Management is really nice and helpful. I absolutely hate how thin the walls are. Nice Place with EXTREMELY THIN Walls
August 6, 2016TLDR: Pros: Nice apartments, Great management/maintenance Cons: Noise level/thin walls, Amenities still not finished. City View Lofts is a newly converted apartment complex within a few minutes walk of the James River. The finishes were done quite nicely for the most part. All the units have granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and cool loft features. Some things could have been better such as a larger water heater and closet door handles that don't come out when you pull too hard. ...The gym and game room are both really nice and get used pretty frequently. There's also plenty parking. Management is really nice and helpful when they are available. My major gripe is how noise travels so absurdly easy here. I'm not sure if it's because of thin walls or the high ceilings from the loft-style apartments. For example, you can easily hear your neighbors' conversations (and make out everything they say) when they are talking at normal levels. Imagine how bad that gets when music is involved. You also hear people walking down the hall, doors closing, dogs, etc. You hear EVERYTHING. I've never lived anywhere with sound issues like this. Also, when we moved in, we were assured that the pool and riverfront park would be done within the next month or so. That date keeps moving back and at this rate I'd be surprised if the pool was done by the end of next summer. We were given permission to use another pool 20 minutes away since a pool is included in our lease agreement, all with no additional guests.
