Condor Gardens
August 27, 2015I've been renting a 2 bedroom 1 bath lower level apartment in Condor Gardens for about 14 months. The staff are pleasant and the building is well maintained and there is ample parking for residents. Pros: - About 10 minutes from the center of Elyria and about 15 minutes from Oberlin; not far from shopping and there is a convenience store and two restaurants in walking distance. - Allows cats (but requires an up front fee). - Walls are thick enough not to hear other residents in their apartments ...(though you can hear people in the hall). - Has air conditioning. - Heating is free. Cons: - Washer and dryer are shared by the building and consist of one set of machines is shared by 12 apartments and the machines are operated by a pre-paid card. Machines are often in use and residents often leave their laundry in the machines for a long time after the load is finished. - Cost went up over 50 dollars in the past year and management said it will go up next year as well; these increases eliminate the cost edge the apartment complex had over other options. - Kitchen is TINY with very little cabinet space. - The only internet you can have there is Time Warner (they have some sort of deal which controls the cable hook up for the building).Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
