Poorly Constructed and Terribly Mismanaged
March 4, 2024Contempo NOVA masquerades as a high-end apartment complex in rent prices only. With a few shiny amenities, the actual apartment building is poorly constructed, and extremely mismanaged. Crack pipes found in stairwells, Vehicles broken into and stolen from the residential garage, homeless people living in vans next to the building, and the constant smell of weed. Garage doors and elevators are constantly breaking down and sometimes not fixed for several months at a time. Communication with ...management is extremely poor as they take days to respond to an issue if not at all. The only positive about Contempo NOVA is the maintenance workers who are very responsive and helpful in solving the many issues that I've encountered with my unit.Property Manager Responded

10 Out of 10 would NOT recommend moving here
October 5, 2023Resident’s safety at this property is of no concern to management here. You bring a safety issue to their attention and all you’ll get are well rehearsed responses but no actual remedy to your concern. We’ve had a plethora of trespassers since I moved here, from homeless people to crackheads…actual crackheads breaking into the buildings to get high in the bathrooms or to sleep in the lounge areas and absolutely nothing has been done to address the issue. Although a very simple solution to remedy ...the problem would be to hire security, instead we get the same rehearsed response about one of the residents being an Alexandria police officer. However none of the residents have actually seen him or knows how to contact him in the event you actually need him but that’s the response you get. This being a non-smoking property is a complete fairy tale, the hallways and stairwells constantly wreak of marijuana and cigarette smoke and nothing ever happens to the residents causing these problems. Management just responds to the complaints with the exact same repetitive copy, paste and send email each time. Each building has the grossest, smelliest, most disgusting carpets that look as if they haven’t been replaced or cleaned since the property was built…but the main lobby and leasing office spaces don’t have these problems…gotta make things like pretty so the apartments can continue to rent. The parking garage doors have only actually worked a total of maybe a week since I moved in, so the thieves have easy access to your vehicles to break into them or steal them all together…my neighbor just had his motorcycle stolen. You ask management when they will be repaired and you get yet another rehearsed response about them waiting for parts. To sum things up if you move here you’ll be paying for amenities that partially or sometimes work, your car may be stolen from the garage, hopefully weed smoke doesn’t bother you because you’ll always smell it and you’ll probably run into a crackhead or two in the hallways, but to make up for all of that they have free chips in the leasing office for you to snack on when you come in to complain. Wonderful Staff
April 28, 2023We’ve been residents for a little over a year. Everyone has made us truly feel at home. The entire staff has been understanding, patient, kind and accommodating to our family including our children with disabilities. Leasing office is genuine, caring and attentive. Everyone is professional and friendly. Maintenance requests are done in a timely manner. Amenities include multiple fitness centers and swimming pools. Access controlled building, garage, and a package concierge room to receive ...and store deliveries. Good variety of restaurants on-site and within 2 blocks walking distance. August 30, 2022Too expensive, they didn’t fix anything but charge you for everything. My apt took on water when it rained. They brought towels and a blower that they forgot in my apt for at least 4 months. Rats travel from the nearby restaurants to the landscape on the property.Property Manager Responded

Smoking oasis
March 22, 2021you smoke marijuana or cigarettes this is the perfect place for you and your family. Every day you will be blessed with the smell in your apartment and in the hallways. Don’t worry about management because they won’t bother to do anything. Other things to consider; walls are thin, mail is constantly lost, elevators aren’t up to code and is shared with the public, dog poop everywhere, parking is terrible, residents don’t wear masks, and is an overall bad area.Property Manager Responded
