About Deys Plaza Apartments
The Dey Brothers Department store opened in 1894. It soon became the premiere shopping center in all of Central New York. Today it has been transformed into one of the finest residential properties available in the Syracuse area. Currently there are 84 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Our primary focus is to attend to our tenants' needs of everyday living. This is a home for the residents of Deys and our goal is to make life here as comfortable as possible. We offer underground parking and on-site management, security and maintenance. You will find that our apartments are extremely quiet, a quality that is often skipped over in marketing brochures. If you have a maintenance issue you will have our immediate attention. Additional amenities include three restaurants in the building. Since day one, everyone from the staff made sure they could find ways to accommodate us settling in, and throughout the time living there, the staff became friends and so supportive of everything. The building is also at a prime location downtown. Everything is near, and everything you may need on a daily basis can be found at a walking distance. We made so many beautiful memories.

Very short walking distance to the library, Landmark Theater, Red House Theater, and the Syracuse Orchestra. Underground parking means no snow shoveling nor window scraping on cold mornings. Management and staff are friendly, responsive, and helpful.

We use the gym membership daily and enjoy working with the doormen for everything from rides to the airport to package deliveries. Management keeps us well informed and has not missed a beat with any issue in our apartment. We just renewed our lease for another year. Fantastic place to live!!

I have the manager on speed dial and was not afraid to use it! Lots of space in my apartment & it’s very quiet & peaceful. Overall we had a great time @ Deys! First class experience with the property manager from the application process to the move in. You cannot beat this location. Right in the heart of downtown Syracuse. It is an older building and has its quirks but it’s safe & clean and the apartment itself had all we could ask for and more. Everyone was prompt & courteous. Great place to live!
Clueless Management
October 31, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comGreat location. Management routinely fails to renew your lease on time. Lights in hallways are out for months. Plan on fighting to get your security deposit back. Windows leak after a hard rain storm. Windows,we're washed twice in 5 years. Lots of storage in my unit. Nice finishes in kitchen and baths. Onsite staff was awesome. Outside noise and homeless population made it tough.Property Manager Responded
February 12, 2025We are so sorry to hear your concerns and are in the process of restructuring our staff in order to meet all the needs of our tenants in a timely manner. As a historic older building we have worked diligently at replacing our windows and have a few apartments left to do but we SEE YOU! This is on our Wish List for the coming year. The window washing was not possible for a few years due to Covid as well as lack of washers able to get lifts up to some of our floors until last year. We have contracted with a vendor to address this issue in the spring. All lighting concerns have been addressed and will continue to be monitored. No excuses! We are proud of our onsite staff and THANK YOU for the shout out. Thank you again for making us aware of our shortcomings. We wish you all the best at your new residence.
