Honestly, I would really think twice before signing a lease here.
I’ve only been here about 8 months and I feel like I’ve dealt with more major issues than I ever have living in an apartment. I understand that things break and maintenance issues happen, but at some point it just becomes ridiculous.
The AC has gone out twice, both during hot weekends, and both times it took multiple days to get fixed. The windows are sealed shut, so there was literally no way to get any airflow into the apartment. ...
It gets extremely hot when the AC isn’t working.
The stove was broken for about a week, so I couldn’t cook in my own apartment. Then the refrigerator went out and was down for almost a week. I lost a ton of food and meal prep that I had already spent money on. Having to basically go out and replace an entire refrigerator full of food is not exactly a small inconvenience.
The water has also come out brown from my sink on multiple occasions. I have pictures of it. I don’t think anyone should have to wonder why the water coming out of their kitchen faucet is brown.
The washing machine started leaking and was unusable. I also brought up concerns about what appears to be mold in that area afterward, and it is still there.
The hot water has gone out as well and the water heater had to be replaced.
And then there’s the elevator, which has probably been one of the most frustrating things. For a while it wouldn’t even stop on the 3rd floor, so I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. I’m a flight attendant, so carrying luggage up several flights of stairs is not exactly ideal.
I also got stuck in the elevator for about an hour and a half. What made that worse was not really knowing what was going on or whether anyone from RHM was actually coming to help. Sitting in an elevator for that long with basically no communication was pretty frustrating.
Again, I understand that apartments have maintenance issues. That’s part of renting. But when you have the AC going out multiple times, a broken stove, a broken refrigerator, brown water, a leaking washing machine, unresolved mold concerns, no hot water, elevator problems, and actually getting stuck in the elevator — all within about 8 months it’s hard to look at these as just normal apartment problems.
I’m leaving this review because I honestly wish I had seen something like this before I signed my lease. If you’re considering moving here, ask a LOT of questions before you sign anything and make sure you understand what you’re ge
