it took a month of leaving voicemails , emails and showing up to the office in person to finally hear back - at that point they had already sent our bill to collections. HELPFUL TIP : call the collections office to have them “verify and validate” the debt- it legally cannot go on your report until that’s done. I sent a nice legal letter to Elán and the company explaining why the charges were illegal , it has been a whole year since this and the collections agency nor I have heard from Elán so as for now we don’t owe but we definitely won’t be seeing our money returned to us. They wait and put things off hoping issues will just disappear. For Move in - we were going to take advantage of the 'move in early' deal, which they postponed by a week so we only got in a few days early -they postponed it because they were going to resurface the cracked tubs, which they Was NOT done by the time we moved in. They scheduled it 4 times and no showed (each time I had to pay for daycare for my dog) and finally came the 5th time. Which is how it went any time we needed maintenance done . Parking - Parking SUCKS.You are allotted one covered parking space no matter what, even if you have a 3 bedroom. There is absolutely no parking in open spaces after 7PM. It’s supposed to be a gated community but the gates never worked, my car was broken into twice . they take no responsibility for anything. If they don't do it, it's your fault somehow. A slew of things were not fixed in a timely manner including: Part of the ceiling falling on my roommate, which they repaired using BLUE PAINTER TAPE to fix- it fell an hour later .going without electricity for 5 days( which turned out they miss-wired everything making our place a fire hazard) They were having issues with pipes and turned everyone’s hot water off from 8-4 pm every day for almost a whole month. the garbage disposal shooting out dirty water from the dishwasher, the list goes on and on. Management is AWFUL and only care about money

bill for several hundred dollars more. Tenants store their trash in the hallways and allow the odor to spread throughout the floor. The highway noise is unavoidable and unbearable. The buildings are essentially adjacent to the main highway of the west coast (I-5). If a truck uses its engine brake or anything with a loud exhaust drives past, it sounds like it is in your apartment (so, good luck sleeping through the night). I have honestly never had a more unpleasant living experience in my life. Really read the reviews of this complex and all other complexes managed by the Elan group. I assumed that they were just written by boisterous disgruntled former-tenants, but now that I have become one, I wish I had listened to the majority of the reviews in the first place.

super quiet offices. They are triple panned windows and you don't hear any road noise. Only move in here if it makes sense to you and/or family. Otherwise, be prepared to be a number and never be considered a person inside our apartment community.

on the freeway side of the buildings I assume it's a mix of low tide and freeway stink. Overall not the nicest appartment for the price but the community is great and location is right.
