The wonderful Legos we played with as a kid are just as fun to play with as an adult. And just 20 minutes north of San Diego near to many northern located apartments is a land where children and adults can play with Legos to their heart's content - Legoland California. With over fifty rides and attractions dedicated to Legos, it's hard to feel that you're not a kid again. The most remarkable example of the displays is an incredible piecing of 20 MILLION Legos to form MiniLand USA - representing seven areas of the US. New Orleans, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and the California coastline, Florida and the recently added Las Vegas are represented with the tiniest detail, including mini delivery trucks, beach gear and employees at work with tools and briefcases. One way to see many of the creations of the park created with Legos is on the coast cruise, where you can see the Eiffel Tower, Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty, along with the rest of Manhattan via boat. On the ride, there's the potential to be hit by water guns from a bridge overhead! If you're looking for a little excitement, the roller coasters and exhilarating rides, will be your perfect escape. The Lego Technic Coaster, Aquazone Wave Racers and the Bionacle Blaster are interactive rides like most of the rides of the park that let you increase the velocity of your experience. The Lost Kingdom Adventure places riders on all-terrain roadsters to explore and find ten lost treasures. And bring your bathing suit on those hot summer days to enjoy Soak and Sail where a pirate shipwreck provides the foundation for over 60 interactive water games and gadgets. For children, there's the safari trek where kids can see African animals up close - all made of Lego bricks, of course. The Coastersauraus is a mini roller coaster that speeds through a prehistoric wonderland, kid power towers allows kids to pull and lift themselves to the top of the tower, and the Volvo driving school allows kids to play on electric cars. Explore Village offers the youngest visitors Water Works fun fountains, the Musical Fountain and Playtown, a complete Lego town with slides and activities. Lego clubhouse is where Lego enthusiasts can create to their heart's content with thousands and thousands of the plastic building materials. In addition, the Lego Mindstorms Creative center allows participants to build and operate robots, and the Maniac Challenge area offers 40 PCs loaded with cool Lego games including BIONACLE, Drome Racers, Chess and Soccer Mania. Legoland is a one of a kind park in the US! With others in Germany, Denmark and the U.K., it's the perfect escape from your San Diego apartment who wants something a little out of the ordinary.
