Cockroach infestation warning

I cannot recommend renting from this property.
Within weeks of moving into my apartment, I discovered a significant cockroach infestation. There were numerous traps already placed throughout my unit and in the common areas of the building. Pest control attended after I reported the issue, but by then I had already moved into the unit and was forced to live with the huge disruption and ultimately needing to move again all in a matter of weeks.
Although management agreed to let me out of my lease ...
without penalty, they refused any rent reduction, reimbursement of moving expenses, or other compensation, despite me having already paid a full month’s rent and now being forced to relocate.
My advice to anyone considering renting here is simple: before signing a lease, ask for written confirmation or a recent pest inspection showing the unit is free of active infestations. If a landlord cannot provide that documentation, think carefully before committing.
Moving is expensive. I hope sharing my experience helps someone else avoid the financial and emotional stress that I went through. Get it in writing - request your unit be inspected.
