Management is rude
September 28, 2017The front desk staff (I'm only referring to only one particular lady who is always beaming with happiness) is great. The management staff are extremely rude. The building is very outdated (circa 1970's). Please update the horrible puke yellow hallway walls to a more pleasant color!!Review from Apartments.com
Nice apartments, poorly managed
October 11, 2016The apartments at the Essex are spacious and lovely with ample closet space. The building itself doesn't have many of the amenities that newer buildings have - there is a roof deck that is almost never used. The real problem with the Essex is the building management - the staff who work there are quite lovely, but the tone set from management is hostile and punitive. Residents routinely receive letters about "rules violations" which sets a tone of unpleasantness. Management definitely treats ...renters and owners differently. It's too bad because the building itself is filled with nice apartments, but it isn't fun to live someplace with unpleasant management.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
