Evans Manor
September 25, 2015The rooms in the apartment are rented out individually as a single room within a suite. I can't speak for others, but mine is a suite with 3 other girls. There isn't a kitchen or living room though. But, you do pay a relatively cheap price (~400-~600) depending on the size of the room (small, medium or large). The only extra utility you pay is for wifi, but if you split it with your suite or any adjacent rooms it's about $10 with Comcast's deal. Electricity, bathroom cleaning (and toilet paper!), ...water, garbage, etc. are including in the cheap rent. Notable features: - Laundry room is on the second floor with a communal lounge. - There is a front desk that picks up your packages! It's nice especially because this is a common area where items get stolen. - There is parking in the back, but it's an extra $75/month and limited to the first people who apply. Berkeley City street parking is about $50/year and I'd say within a couple blocks, it's pretty easy to find parking. - Contracts are annually, but you're able to break it early if you find someone to replace you. It's location is pretty ideal, about a 5 min walk to RSF, 10 min to the UC Berkeley Campus, 15 min to Downtown Berkeley and 10 min to some restaurants during South Side. All in all, ideal place for broke college students. But, you will need to find alternative ways to cook/eat, since there isn't a kitchen!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

September 24, 2015My apartment is more of a room, but it's a comfortable one. I love the factors that I can walk to the Downtown area in about 10 minutes, and I don't even need a car.Review from Apartments.com
