Great safe apartment
February 4, 2026I’ve had a great experience living at Hydro Apartments in downtown Richmond, and it’s easily one of the better apartment communities I’ve lived in. First off, the location is a huge plus. Being right downtown means you’re close to restaurants, bars, the river, walking trails, and nightlife, while still feeling tucked away enough that it doesn’t feel chaotic. It’s very convenient for commuting and for anyone who enjoys being able to walk to things instead of driving everywhere. The apartments ...themselves are modern, clean, and well-designed. The layouts make good use of space, the appliances are updated, and the finishes feel high-quality compared to many other downtown buildings. I also appreciate the natural light and the overall aesthetic—it actually feels like a place you want to come home to, not just a box you’re renting.Property Manager Responded

Managment that cares

An actual Luxury apartment
April 28, 2025I’ve lived in Richmond for years but never stayed in an apartment complex for more than one term. The staff at hydro is always working to better the building and create a great community. I have renewed for the third time and every year a new amenity has been added and the social events that are hosted has resulted in many of great friendships. PRG listens to all Our suggestions and complaints. The parking was increased last year for guests and although we could still use more spots, as a ...resident I felt that my voice was heard. Convenient location
April 11, 2025I have lived at Hydro for nearly three years now, and although it is not perfect (no short term apartment complex is), it has a lot of upsides. The rent is comparable to nearby locations, the staff is friendly (and incredibly helpful with any issues), serviceable pool and gym, and it is pet friendly. Above all, it is in a wonderful location in close proximity to the downtown Richmond area but with more of a secluded feel.Property Manager Responded

April 11, 2025From the initial tour with Alexander to the process of securing my apartment, the team at Hydro has been nothing but top class. Quick to respond, transparent about all the costs with living here and accommodating. Everyone I’ve encountered is very friendly and it truly feels like you’re apart of a community. The property is always clean and smells amazing. The gym and common areas are also nice, which is a plus. Stunning views and great location.
