Here is an honest review with pros and cons
November 6, 2020When I first moved here the building had some serious problems with bad tenants, ranging from ongoing behavior nuisances to alleged criminal activity. That activity spanned from low level property crimes to prostitution and drug dealing. This has been cleared up in the first six months by Capstone to about 90% reduction. So now a quick breakdown. Pros: 1. Location: you can't ask for a better location than this place if you are seeking the urban living atmosphere. Within five to ten ...minute walking distance to several coffee shops, eateries, bars and breweries. It is within a block of a 14 screen movie theater. 2. Parking: It has adequate parking in a psuedo-secure underground garage. I say pseudo-secure as there are vulnerabilities. All things being equal its on par or better than other surrounding properties. 3. Rooftop Deck: This is a nice addition to a modern urban experience. It comes complete with a grill and is partitioned with a community rooftop garden. 4. Grocery Store and Pharmacy on the first floor as well as sushi restaurant. The grocery store is nice if you don't need to pack a fridge. Its prices vary, some stuff is real good deal, their might be few things that will cost more, but for the convenience its worth it. 5. Interior: The interior is decent. It has faux-wood floors, new fridge, electric stove and dishwasher. It has washer and dryer hookups for a stackable, or you can use one of the washrooms on the 2nd or 4th floor. Cons: Security of the common areas: The garage as I mentioned is psuedo-secure. It can be breached by people waiting for a resident entering or exiting. This facilitates access to the rest of the building through the elevators. All someone has to do is wait for the elevator to be commanded to the desired floor. Single Elevator: This is an issue for a couple reasons. First is moving in. Access to the stairwells may not be a convenient option depending on where your unit is situated. That is it in a nutshell. There are a few minor annoyances. Living below the rooftop deck can get noisy. Not an issue at night as they shut the access off at 9pm, but if you are shift worker you may want to avoid a unit directly below the deck. All in all, I would say the property is okay. Its a good short term market rate to transition to somewhere else. I would rate it lower for long term living.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
