Ignored Repairs, Broken Locks, and a Dripping Wall That Kept Me Up

I went against my better judgment after reading negative reviews about this apartment complex and moved in anyway, and now I highly regret it. I was told that the bathroom was going to be renovated and that the kitchen had relatively new appliances which to me seemed great all and behold when I moved in two weeks later, the bathroom was missing its handles the “new appliances” in the kitchen had a major defect in which the oven’s metal covering plate was sticking out exposing sharp edges. When I ...
submitted 8 maintenance requests for all the things I found wrong within the first week of moving in, I realized they're considered more of a suggestion than a request. They do not take these requests seriously, even if it puts you or your pet in harm's way. Another example is that all the windows' locks are broken, which then leaks cold air, and during this upcoming snow storm (1/24/26), which is literally in a day, they consider this not a priority. And that their maintenance man will not be returning, even though I put the request in weeks ago. Now the apartment feels 10° colder than my heater says, so I'm paying for heat that's not going to benefit me at all. On top of that, there is a loud dripping noise behind the kitchen cabinets that happens randomly, even in the middle of the night. It’s extremely distracting and has kept me up at night for weeks. I contacted them about it and was told the leak “has to be visible” to be considered an emergency. It still hasn’t been addressed in 3 weeks, and I haven’t been able to sleep, but they don’t seem to care. When the maintenance man came to fulfill the request he fulfilled only one request out of eight that of which was a broken showerhead and when he was in my apartment fixing the broken showerhead, he locked my cat in a room without food, water, litter box, and then proceeded to keep my cat locked in that room when I was at school the entire day and also leave my front door unlocked so that anybody could walk into my apartment steal my belongings. When I told the management at the Ivy Hills living space office about this, they did not seem to take it seriously, as nothing has been done about the situation. I would highly recommend that anyone NOT move into this apartment complex. I would not recommend anyone from out of town to move into this apartment complex, even if you are desperate like I was. This is a place where they put you, your belongings, and your pet at risk.

I have been a resident here for 5 years and it is a great place to live. The new management is much better and they have really done a good job with maintenance, amenity upgrades, renovations, and overall management of the complex. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic Place to Live

The amenities are nice and new. The community living here is nice and fun to talk with while hanging out at the pool (which is always clean). Our apartment is amazing and we have not had any issues while living here. Maintenance has been quick to help with any order and they have been respectful and nice to talk with as well (very friendly and understanding). A great place to live as a younger adult who doesn't want to be right in the city.

Beautiful Community

I drove through the community earlier this year and I recently drove though as I am selling my house and looking for an apartment community to live in. I was surprised how it’s changed in 9 months. They are making beautiful and updated improvements. I spoke to a staff member and they were pleasant and extremely helpful.

Prompt and Courteous

I sent a request for a replacement dryer on July 23, 2020 at 11:00 am. At noon, we had a replacement dryer and Troy and John both apologized for my inconvenience. In addition, they clean up any messes as they perform their work. I am very pleased with their workmanship. They both have impeccable manners and are very friendly. Thank you to Troy and John for their hard work. I am a satisfied resident!

Wish I had decided to live here sooner!

I love living here! The community is great - very quiet and clean area. The location is also great. We are close to Columbia Parkway and 32 for quick highway access and quick access to Beechmont Avenue and Mariemont. Also walking distance to the Village of Newton where there are great places to eat. Maintenance responds quick and always goes above and beyond when fixing things.

Excellent Community w/Amazing Staff

We recently downsized from a large home to one of the very nice townhomes at Ivy Hills Place and couldn't be happier. The community is clean, quiet and well maintained. The maintenance team is fantastic. We have only had a couple minor maintenance requests and they came the same day. Megan is the property manager and she is the best. She is friendly, professional and very responsive. You can tell she cares about the residents here. For example, they did some very nice family Easter and resident ...
appreciation activities within the last couple weeks. We feel very much at home in a short amount of time at Ivy Hills Place and highly recommend.
