  • Loud obnoxious neighbors and theft

    November 7, 2022
I'm so glad I've left these apartments and I moved in without reading reviews, honestly I'm SHOCKED reviews are as high as 3.9. Neighbors all around me are loud and obnoxious, playing club music as loud as possible at all hours during the day/evening. I've complained numerous times, but nothing. I've left emails noting times residents have stolen packages but they never respond or they tell me to set up cameras (isn't that your job?). The children in this complex are soo disrespectful and do ...
whatever they want. They trash the hallways and the courtyard with trash and they scream constantly throughout the hallways. I've had children banging on my windows asking to pet my cat even after telling then multiple times "no, stop banging on my window". Where are their parents?!?! Let's not forget the horrible parking situation. There are residents that have way more cars that the required limit, so good luck finding any parking space past 7pm! Complaints to the office do absolutely nothing. I keep seeing warning emails but at this point it's just the boy who cried wolf and nothing is ever done. Also the washer and dryers are usually broken and cost way too much money and there's only 4 washers 4 dryers for the 32 unit apartment that has 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms and each building has loads of families... so good luck getting your clothes washed. Run away. There are plenty of other apartments that are the same price but have a washer/dryer in unit and probably less disrespectful neighbors.

  • Large Expansive Apartments, but Theft, and Loud Obnoxious Children

    September 2, 2019
Management is generally helpful to the extent and limits of their time and funds they have (such as installing security cameras in hallways here which no $ for now). They are/were great at holding packages and providing any type of assistance I needed as well as seemingly taking my issues/concerns seriously, although I did not hear back on many issues in short time. I understand they are very busy and lack enough personnel. Sadly, Weidner has decided not to allow packages to be held in ...
leasing office, so you will not have this service here anymore. You will need to purchase your own box elsewhere or just pick up mail at the USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, or DHL yourself (arrange this). Packages left at doorstep are common though but risky. Decent sized apartment with generally solid walls to keep out noise from immediate neighbors on sides. Fortunately, I don't have any on one side and the other ones are quiet. Not the ones across from me though. Unfortunately, the walls do not block hallway (indoor) noise outside apartment doors. Often, little kids have thumped/ran in the hallways. Great overall maintenance team - usually prompt and provide competent repair. Loud obnoxious unsupervised children running around everywhere- especially in warmer weather. They take over the courtyard and treat it like a playground with parents conveniently holed up inside apartments - rarely seen supervising them. Unpleasant. Very difficult to enjoy balcony facing courtyard with sudden loud screams, yells, shrieks, and squeals blasting my ears. Unpredictable ear shattering and yes, angering noise. Hard to have sound barriers here. Parents are lackadaisical - passive and seemingly lazy. Parenting doesn't seem to exist for these children. Place is getting more expensive. Rates going up. Trash fees are a bit high here as well as water fees since multiple fees are included due to large apartment complex. Upkeep is great - green. Well cared for lawns and trees. Watch out for thieves. No cameras here and not very secure. Last Friday, a neighbor(s) passing by my apartment door in indoor hallway, stole my previously lost luggage delivered by Alaska airline's courier that he conveniently left outside my door against the wall without phoning me or knocking to let me know it was there. Reported to police and airline. It's one thing to have your luggage lost or stolen, and quite another for a neighbor or neighbors to do this. Cannot trust neighbors.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. As a courtesy in the past, the leasing office has accepted packages on residents behalf in the leasing office. However, due to the volume of packages now being received at the office the team has to spend upwards of 3-4 hours each day intaking packages. Residents have been notified in advance of the upcoming change and have been provided a number of options in receiving their packages. Residents will also be able to pick packages up on their own time, and will no longer have to depend on office hours especially since a lot of residents work during normal office hours. There are apps for Fed Ex, USPS, UPS that can be downloaded to track packages and packages can also be sent to those carriers to be picked up at the store or sent to an Amazon locker, or P.O box. I'm glad to hear that Rachel, the Lakeside Community Director has been in contact with you directly regarding your concerns and that you have a meeting planned for ...
      today to discuss further in-person.

  • Mold, Bugs, Poor Response Time

    August 14, 2018
Lived here for 4 years, and I clean the mold off my walls and windows every 6 months. When the bathroom above me flooded it took an hour for someone to come. There's been a bug infestation in the hallway and the issue was not addressed for weeks. And there's more but I digress.

  • 4.5 Stars is a Joke, right?!

    April 8, 2018
Absolutely do not be fooled by these well lit pictures. These apartments are grungy on their best day. Our peeling countertops were glued down, the chipped sink was painted white, our water heater takes up a quarter of our walk in closet and the whole apartment slopes downward to the backside. They caulked over the grungy caulking in the bathroom to give the appearance of clean/new. There are 4 washers/dryers per 35 unit buliding(1, 2 & 3 bedrooms) 2 of the dryers in my building have barely ...
worked since we moved in. We were desperate and exhausted upon move in so these things were noted but brushed of as unimportant. A year later they want to raise rent 9.5%(100$) for a 1 bedroom. We are near perfect tenants, never late, never noisey and didn’t complain about a single thing. We will be moving as soon as we are able. Please take my word and do not live here, please.

  • Terrible everything

    September 3, 2017
From the poor communication of the leasing office to not notifying residents for maintenance these apartments are terrible. The inside is littered with bugs the cabinets are old and break frequently. The only single positive thing about this place was the lake. Highly don't recommend this over priced poor quality apartment to anyone.

  • Big pros and cons

    April 10, 2016
Fairly inexpensive for the size. Actually can't complain about anything inside the apartment too much. Typical for apartments around here you need your own lamps for lighting but the location of the outlets on the switches is not very good. Leaving your front door is a little different. Plenty of parking in the afternoon but you'll park further away in the evening. Covered spots near us have been unavailable for months. Only a couple dumpsters so some buildings have to walk a ways. They do ...
get full so people just choose to leave their garbage bags in a pile in front of the dumpster. Larger apartments for the price means lots of kids running around. Half the buildings are very close to the freeway and that side of the complex is significantly louder, luckily we're on the far side from there. There were a lot of car break-ins and bike thefts from second story balconies when we moved in but at least that has died down. We had a leaky roof last winter, they were very fast getting to work on the roof. They didn't do a very good job though and had to come back three different times to fix our sagging ceiling. They never fixed the ceiling in the main hallway, it just has a big hole with water stains around it. At least once a month the breaker trips in the laundry room so you have to call maintenance to reset it. They told my wife that you're not supposed to use all the machines at once but only half were in use at the time. I haven't seen all of the laundry machines in my building in working order for at least 8 months now. We were happy with this place at first but are souring on it more and more each month.

  • Seems good at first, but not a place to live for long.

    December 11, 2015
This is the first apartment I've lived in and after 6 months I have a pretty good idea of the establishments quality. Heating works fine, plumbing works fine, never had a lack of hot water either. Only complaint on the utility side of things is that depending on what apartment you have, the dumpster can be quite a ways away (I usually have to throw my garbage in my car and drive it over since its winter and rainy...) In terms of upkeep, the paint job on the initial move in was atrocious (drips ...
everywhere and its plain white), and makes me wonder why I had to wait so long for them to "get the apartment ready". The doors, moldings, cabinets, and counter tops look like they're from the 90's, yet when we did the walk through the lady said "ooo, this one has new everything." Appliances work well and haven't had much of an issue with cooking space either, but don't expect to be cooking with two people in the kitchen at once... Living room is almost too big, I had to buy a giant couch just to fill in some of the extra space (still a lot of extra space.) Walk in closet is a big hit for the Fiancee and fits her entire wardrobe with virtually no dressers needed. Internet wise, I've never really had an issue with losing connection, and when I do it's typically comcast going down (they are only pretty much only wired for comcast by the way.) The whole having to use lamps for your lights is VERY annoying as it takes away 3/4 of the wall outlets in each room, expect having to buy plenty of power strips. Laundry is a pain as the machines are expensive to use and are taken up a lot of the time (each building has its own set of laundry machines on the first floor.) The staff feel very robotic, I have yet to talk with someone who actually seems like a normal human being, and it's very concerning that they run their business in a way that seems to indoctrinate people.. But hey, that's just my opinion. Also if you plan on paying via money order DON'T COME HERE! I had a couple unfortunate circumstances that cause me to be late on rent twice, and have been forced to pay via this moneygram system where you have to wait on hold at an atm for 20 minutes just to have some guy activate the atm for you to pay on.. $4.00 fee sucks too. Other than all that, there is always parking, even though sometimes you have to park at the edge of the lot when its late. and the outdoor grounds (especially the lake area) are quite nice. Not good for non families.

  • 4 Stars with no reviews?

    October 17, 2015
How can this apartment complex have 4 star rating when it has no reviews? Do yourselves a favor and run as fast as you can from this complex. I have lived here for a few years now and every year they up my rent by more than $100 per month. I'm not even going to waste my time saying all the bad things I can about this place. Suffice to say that you've been warned. I'm trying to get out of here but it's difficult. I'm also expecting a fight on my hands to get my deposit back because I know ...
that they nickel and dime you when you leave. If you do move in here, you'll think it's ok for the first few weeks but then you'll start to see how bad it is. Oh and your utilities are shared with everyone else in your building so if you're on your own or with one other person in your apartment, you'll be paying for the water of that family that has 6 living there.

  • My apartment Review

    October 10, 2015
So aside from living in good a community with accessible commute to the freeway & high way, my apartment will only be rated 2 stars because of its interior & exterior qualities. As well as the rent I currently pay being more expensive than I believe it should be, due to years of mold in our home we've experienced in all the bedrooms bathroom & sometimes even the living room and our property maintance not doing a good job with fixing this issue, and there's a pond area outside where there's so ...
many ducks who hang out around and make a mess with their feces.

  • It is in fact an apartment

    July 21, 2015
There are walls, windows, a floor, a roof, water, electricity, and it's right off the freeway if that works for you. The common areas, except for the rental office, have a shabby, run down feel, as do the apartments, though I think some have been updated. Apparently, car prowl activity is fairly high, though I haven't experienced this personally, and there are regular, though not predictable, private security patrols. Staff responsiveness is hit and miss; maintenance requests are completed ...
quickly, but questions to the office regarding anything else are answered on their timeline, not yours.
