Could use renovations, but otherwise a good choice.
January 13, 2022The location is amazing! Walking to our favorite destinations is about as good as it can get. Staff is awesome, maintenance has been very fast except for a broken washing machine (3rd party issue). Parking is a bit expensive, but the spots are plenty large enough to easily maneuver. The building is older and looks it in some places (windows, floors, needs in-unit laundry). However, it is quiet, the neighbors are friendly and again the location is great! You will hear noise from the airport, ...that is to be expected. Honestly, we don't even notice it anymore. There may be better in the neighborhood, but you do get large rooms, great view off our balcony, and very attentive people working here.Property Manager Responded

DO NOT MOVE HERE!
January 12, 2022I have never written a review of an apartment before, but felt compelled to warn people just how bad London Normandy house is. I have had gnats crawling into my unit all winter to the point if I leave town for a weekend I return to almost 100 of them dead in my apartment. The laundry rooms use a card whose machine is broken so you have to leave the building to go add money at a separate building. Today the "routine fire alarm" has resulted in the alarm being jammed and going off for the past ...hour. Avoid at all costs!
September 16, 2020This place in one word: YIKES. I have lived here for a year and cannot wait for my lease to be done. There are always bugs and that's on an upper floor. The highway and airplane noise is terrible. Horrible cell phone reception (I have verizon) and we are locked into a single WiFi provider that upcharges and doesn't provide good coverage. Utilities have hit $150 per month for a one bedroom. You would be better spending the money getting a better apartment elsewhere. Wasps
August 21, 2020While I love the layout of my apartment, there is a huge wasp problem. I have now had wasps in my apartment twice because the windows do not close properly and the screens are so old that they are not properly fastened to the window frame. I called the emergency maintenance number, but was told that they “filled a ticket and I would just have to wait”. I was not provided a direct number to the maintenance team. I now worry that if there was a situation that required immediate help, I may not have ...support. Management is HORRIBLE
June 20, 2019I am not one who often writes reviews, but I couldn't let this review go any longer. I have been living at the London Normandy House for sometime. And, as I can state that it is a nice place to live in and most of the staff is pleasant. The management in the leasing office is HORRIBLE. Not only are they are horrible, but their attitudes towards all residents needs to an attitude check by corporate. Any request made is usually argued, even when the resident is just trying to live a normal life and ...take care of the place. Another thing that corporate needs to know about is the disorganized management. They will say one thing then mix your words around and say another thing. Not Worth the Headache
September 7, 2017I've been at the Normandy House for over 2 years now. It changed management in summer 2017 and the transition has been horrendous. From lost checks, to lease renewals that were stuffed in cabinets and never processed (when they found ours, checks from two months ago hadn't even been cashed), it's absolutely chaos. I would move out in a heart beat, but I'm about to transition jobs in a new city and it wouldn't make sense to move for a few months only to move yet again. Lease renewals increase ...about $300 EACH YEAR, but there is some wiggle room to negotiate. While the location is great, the management is inefficient, unprofessional, and incompetent. Spacious Rooms near Rosslyn Metro
September 23, 2015I've been living in the London (1001 Wilson Blvd, Arlington VA) for the last year and overall it's been a great experience. The rooms are VERY spacious - there are 5 of us living in the building, and most of us have significant others over, and we never feel crowded. Some rooms (ours included) look over the Potomac River, Roosevelt Island, and the monuments, so there are some great views. Most units also have a spacious balcony as well. The apartment has a pool, a small rooftop, and a gym ...(about 7-8 machines, but it suffices in the winter - very rarely crowded). Housing staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner. The metro is only 3 blocks away, and it's about a 15 minute walk to Georgetown. Rosslyn is a business district, so some of the stores close early, but when they're open, we've got everything from Chop't to Chipotle, Wise Guys Pizza to Kanpai Sushi. London Normandy House
August 22, 2015London Normandy house is a great property just minutes from DC. It is located two blocks from the metro and a short walk to Georgetown using Key Bridge which offers beautiful views of the Potomac. The building is spacious with a newly renovated, gym, large pool, and a rooftop area with grills, lounge chairs and great views of DC including the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. Normandy House
August 9, 2015There are many pluses to London/Normandy House apartments that mostly outweigh the few negatives. The view from the rooftop patio and units facing the Potomac are breathtaking. The patio has nice furniture and dining tables that are great for entertaining. The units are large considering the cost, but the building/units are older, and the air conditioning/heating units are dated. Great restaurants are easily accessible - it's a short walk to Georgetown, and an even shorter walk to the Rosslyn ...metro station, giving you easy access to the blue/orange/silver Metro lines. July 23, 2015This building is recently renovated. Great location, spacious appratments, Modern look, amazing views, terrace with not one but two grills for you to enjoy a great time looking straight at the Washington Monument. It can't get better than that.Review from Apartments.com
