From nightmare to dream
February 21, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comI deleted find my previous review to update an overall move in experience. Sean from the leasing office has been on top of my situation, the inconvenience, and made every effort to solve the matter. From the problem I had with Lux13 to now I am giving them an overall 4/5 stars. I am loving my current unit. I plan on being here for a while.

April 5, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comThis is my second school year living here. I have had 0 issues (besides the normal roommate stuff which the apt complex can't control). Great pricing, I think its worth the price for students. They just upgraded the pool area which I thought looked fine before but now it looks awesome! The staff is very welcoming each time you are in the main office area. I chose to renew here another year because you can tell that they genuinely care. Maintenance has always fixed any issues we've had in 24 or ...less and are phenomenal people. I recommend Lux13 to everyone!Read More
HIDDEN FEES
July 23, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comI highly discourage anyone thinking of living at this complex unless you are independently wealthy. We were told that $150 of the utilities would be covered; we would just have to pay the overages. Well, the "overages" ranged from $150 the first month to $701 the last. How is is possible that a small apartment could run utilities that high? It isn't, but lawyers fees would be more that the savings, so we just moved out as quickly as we could.

August 18, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comWell, I just moved in and its absolutely amazing. Two bedrooms, lots of space and a large kitchen and living room. A bit of a trek to campus, but not a problem if you have a car or scooter. The bathrooms are much larger than expected and rent includes internet AND cable! Not bad, not bad at all. Especially considering that I used to live in a one bedroom apartment with two roommates. Definitely an upgrade. I would absolutely recommend.
Maintenance issues
July 20, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comI moved in when this place was named Hidden Lake -- it was recently named "Lux 13" which is distinctly inaccurate given my experience. I stayed in a 3/3 for two years, and there were several major issues: 1. Broken furniture in the furniture package was not replaced (bed frame, couch, and dining room table) -- after months of the office claiming they had lost the work order, they finally admitted they had no intention of replacing them because they didn't want to. No change was made to the fee ...we paid for the furniture package, despite this being in the lease. 2. Work orders were frequently ignored for weeks or months. The electric stovetop stopped working, and a guest burned himself on it. Maintenance started using one of our unrented rooms as storage, and made a hole in the wall after slamming a bed frame into it. Despite our calls, this was not replaced until we eventually moved out 3 months later. 3. Utilities overages averaged $130 per room in our 3/3, despite keeping the a/c on 75 and rarely being home to use appliances. 4. The office staff was disorganized and did not communicate well with each other -- they frequently added random fees (i.e., pet rental fees, etc.) It was difficult to resolve, because every time we called the front office, we spoke to a different person who had no idea that we had called before.Read More
