Great Uptown Location, Terrible Living Experience

I recently chose not to renew my lease at MAA North Hall and cannot recommend moving here. Despite the good Uptown location, the building is severely mismanaged. Security gates and access controls are constantly broken, which has directly resulted in stolen property. On top of that, you have to deal with frequent elevator breakdowns and fire safety issues. To make matters worse, none of the doors or windows are insulated properly. Not only does this mean you can hear absolutely everything ...
outside—it’s like living with an open door or window—but it also allows pest problems to easily get right into the apartment. I actually woke up one night with a cockroach on my arm, and now I cannot wait to get out. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere, not worth the good location.
