Awful landlords. They are hard to get in touch with and don’t seem to care about the residents once you have submitted the deposit l(that you won’t get back no matter what you do) and are paying rent. Our heat went out on Friday and we notified them at around 4:00pm while the hours are 9am till 5pm and they didn’t get ahold of us until Monday at 10. Our apartment was so cold it is unlivable so we couldn’t be in the apartment. Not worth the price for the apartment or landlord.

Montaje apartments was recently purchased by the current property owners, who also manage another local building nearby. The price is reasonably good in comparison to the amenities found in the apartments. Maintenance is also easy to work with and responds fast. The location is close to the campus as well, especially the hockey arena. The major downside is simply that in order to get to the main part of campus, a student must scale a fairly large hill. The area that the apartment is in however ...
remains a downside. Crime rates are higher nearby the area of town, even though it seems to be surrounded by a harmless daycare and a couple of fraternity houses. I personally have had two bikes stolen when parked outside Montaje Apartments, the ownership complains at leasing that bikes are not to be brought inside, but leaving them outside is essentially selling them for a five finger discount. Even U-locks have been cut. For a cheap living however, Montaje apartments offers a financially reasonable and quite living.
