About Malden Gardens
As one of the tallest buildings in Malden, Malden Gardens is an 18 story complex that offers spacious one and two bedroom apartments in a pedestrian friendly neighborhood with close access to bus lines, highways, shopping and restaurants, including a variety of ethnic cuisines. In addition it is about a seven minute walk to the Malden Center (orange line) train stop. The property is maintained by Carabetta's 24 hour maintenance team and secured by the Carabetta Security Team. The units boast wall-to-wall carpeting, walk-in closets, kitchen appliances including garbage disposals and dishwashers, and either a patio, deck or balcony. Residents are greeted by the concierge and enjoy the building's fitness center and indoor heated swimming pool. Residents can also rent the site's community room for parties. There is off-street parking for residents either above ground or in the garage. There is no application fee. There is an additional charge for parking and refurbished units.

DISORGANIZED AND UNRELIABLE!!!
May 27, 2025I strongly advise against renting at Malden Gardens. The entire process of application and signing a lease has been frustrating and unprofessional. After being approved for an apartment, the leasing agents started giving us confusing and inconsistent information. Initially, we viewed a unit on the 8th floor. They told us we would be assigned a unit on the 15th floor which looks the same. We liked this floorplan and thus agreed to apply. After getting approval, they mentioned they'll assign us ...the 8th floor instead of 15th floor which we also agreed. Eventually, they changed this after a few weeks and claimed they couldn't even tell us which units were available. They said we'd be assigned a unit one closer to our move-in date. They told us that all units look the same and so living in any unit will have a similar experience. This does not make any sense. How can you not give the renters an opportunity to choose which you initially agreed to? It’s baffling that, even after over a month of being approved, they wouldn’t let us sign a lease or confirm which unit we’d be getting. Horrible place to live
August 30, 2021This place is a nightmare. Two elevators for 18 floors but only one usually works, it’s dirty, and maintenance is never done in a timely manner. If at all. do not rent. Management doesn’t care about the tenants.Review from Apartments.com
Worst place I’ve ever lived and I’ve lived in public housing
June 26, 2021Roaches. they say they supply air conditioning and it never works. Have a pool that is never opened. No security. Police always here. Elevators always not working witness a little girl crying the other day saying her mother was stuck in there. Took 2 days for someone to come fix my sink that was pouring out water from the pipes. People who don’t live here always smoking weed in the garage. You need a door opener to get in but yet have stairway doors on the side of the garage that are not locked ...to stop people who do not live her getting in. There’s a person who screams all day and night like they are getting murdered. Hallways and elevators alway smell like weed. Arguments in hallways. No one does anything besides say “I’m sorry for the inconvenience we are working on it now.” When in fact they never do anything! Worst place I have ever lived and I advise anyone looking for a place to live to not even bother looking here, you will regret it! I have 10 more months on my lease and I regret my decision to move in here every single day!! I would give negative stars if possible!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
