up and down several steps - instead of a ramp. (That would make too much sense - we already have one ADA compliant entry. Two would apparently just be excessive.) There’s also frequently a smell of gas coming from the side of the building (when we told the front desk they said it was nothing to worry about, but for the sake of full disclosure, thought I should let it be known) But as a fun bonus, you can also have the wonderful experience of breathing in ALL the carcinogens that your neighbors choose to bless you with. The cigarette smoke is so intense and comes through the vents into *your* unit and now all of your stuff gets to smell like cigarette smoke too! Fantastic! And the best part is, you don’t even have to live next to that neighbor in order to get that charming experience. And - when you go to complain to management - you get told that there’s nothing they can do, since this building was built in the dark ages, and they have literal bylaws protecting indoor smoking! Awesome! So yeah, the location is great, and it has some of the best prices in McLean - but those prices are the way they are for a reason.
